Yahoo has appointed Ken Goldman to the top finance spot, effective October 22. He replaces Tim Morse, who will leave the firm later this fall. Most recently, Goldman headed finance at Fortinet.

Carol Sawdye has been named CFO and vice chair of PricewaterhouseCoopers. She previously was at the firm for 17 years, the last 6 of them as partner. She rejoins the company from the National Basketball Assn., where she has headed finance for the past 2 years.

Repligen Corp. has named Jonathan Lieber CFO and treasurer. As CFO, he succeeds William Kelly, who has been appointed chief accounting officer at the life-sciences company. Formerly, Lieber was CFO and treasurer of Xcellerex Inc.

Gary Bachman is the new head of finance at Pzena Investment Management Inc. He joins the company from JP Morgan Chase, where he was an executive director.

Jeld-Wen Inc. has named Scott Cottrill to the top finance spot, effective October 15. He comes to the window and door manufacturer from Goodrich Corp., where he was chief accounting officer and corporate controller.

Savient Pharmaceuticals Inc. has selected John Hamill as its next finance chief. Formerly, he was CFO of PharmNet Development Group.

Real estate investment trust Rouse Properties Inc. has named John Wain to lead the finance function. Previously, he was a managing director and head of real estate Americas at Credit Agricole Corporate and Investment Bank.

CFO Dale Schnittjer plans to retire from Teledyne Technologies Inc., effective November 18. He will be succeeded by controller Susan Main.

Animal-health firm Aratana Therapeutics has named Louise Mawhinney CFO, a newly created post. Most recently, she headed finance at Ikonisys Inc.; before that, she was CFO at Helicos BioSciences Corp. and at ArQule Inc.

Richard Jaggers has been promoted to the top finance spot at Balfour Beatty Construction. Jaggers, who joined the firm in 1998, had been CFO of its regional operations based in Atlanta.
