Steel producer Severstal North America has named Olga Petrova finance chief. She replaces interim CFO Michael Tuomey, who will be deputy CFO. Most recently, Petrova was head of the business planning and controlling department at Severstal’s parent company, OAO Severstal.

CFO and treasurer Stacy Hodges has resigned from holding company SWS Group, effective September 30. The company expects to announce an interim CFO by that time.

Technology firm Nvidia has appointed Colette Kress to head finance. Previously, she was CFO of the business technology and operations finance unit at Cisco and CFO of the server and tools division at Microsoft.

Affirmative Insurance Holdings has promoted Earl Fonville to the top finance spot. He has been chief accounting officer since 2008.

Job-search engine operator Simply Hired has named Shelly Schaffer to lead the finance function. Most recently she headed finance at Support.com; before that she was vice president of corporate operations finance at Yahoo.

Brooks Automation has chosen Lindon Robertson to head finance, effective October 1. Formerly, he was CFO of GrafTech International.

Eric Struik has been selected as the next finance chief at Erickson Air-Crane, succeeding Chuck Ryan. Previously he was vice president of finance at Remy International.

Dennis Morgan has been named to the top finance spot at Acquia. He headed finance at Buddy Media when it was acquired by Salesforce.com last year, and prior to that was vice president of corporate finance at Yahoo.

Endo Health Solutions has named Suketu Upadhyay CFO. Most recently, he was principal accounting officer and interim CFO at Becton, Dickinson & Co.

Intersil has appointed Richard Crowley to lead the finance function. He joins the company from Integrated Device Technology, where he also was finance chief.
