Beauty-care products company Revlon Inc. has promoted Alan Ennis to the post of president and CEO. Previously he was executive vice president, CFO, and president of Revlon International. He takes over from David Kennedy, who will become the firm’s vice chairman.
Murray Demo will be the new executive vice president and CFO at technology company Dolby Laboratories Inc., effective May 4. He is a former EVP and CFO at LiveOps Inc., an on-demand software and call-center outsourcing company.
Jon Clark has been named CFO and treasurer of Gramercy Capital Corp., a commercial real-estate finance and property-investment firm. He will also continue in his current role as chief accounting officer. Clark joined the firm in 2007; he previously served as a director at BlackRock Financial Management.
Motricity, a provider of mobile data services and solutions, has named Allyn Hebner as its new CFO. He comes to the company from T-Mobile USA, where he was chief accounting officer.
Gerald Petkau has been promoted to CFO of Blue Cross and Blue Shield of North Carolina. He joined the organization five years ago, and has served as vice president of financial services and chief corporate actuary. He succeeds Dan Glaser, who is retiring in July.
HCC Insurance Holdings Inc. has elected W. Tobin Whamond CFO and executive vice president. His election as EVP becomes effective on May 1, and he will succeed Edward H. Ellis Jr. as CFO when the latter retires on December 31, 2009. Whamond is currently a managing director at Wachovia.
Vice president of accounting Keith Cheesman has been promoted to senior vice president and CFO at clinical research firm Kendle International Inc. He takes over from Karl “Buzz” Brenkert III, who is leaving the company.
Paul Barkworth has been named CFO of Merchants Automotive Group. Previously he headed finance at two venture-funded start-ups, Rivulet Communications Inc. and Cetacean Networks Inc.
Zoltek Cos., a manufacturer of carbon fiber, has promoted Andrew Whipple to the top finance spot. He had been the company’s chief accounting officer since May 2008. Before that, he was CFO at E3 Biofuels.
James Levine
has been named executive vice president and CFO at Verenium Corp., a developer of ethanol and specialty enzymes. Previously, Levine worked at Goldman Sachs, most recently as managing director of the power and utilities group.
