Citigroup Inc.’s CFO, Edward (“Ned”) Kelly, has been promoted to vice chairman of the company. He will be replaced by John Gerspach, Citi’s controller and chief accounting officer. In addition, Gary Crittenden, a former Citi CFO and now chairman of Citi Holdings, will be leaving the company and relocating to Utah to spend more time with his family.
Christopher Johns, senior vice president and CFO of PG&E Corp., has been promoted to president of the corporation’s utility unit, Pacific Gas and Electric Co., effective August 1. In that role, he will report to Peter Darbee, a former PG&E Corp. CFO who is now chairman, CEO, and president of the corporation. Johns, who has been CFO since 2005, will be succeeded in that position by Kent Harvey, senior vice president, and chief risk and audit officer.
Brian MacDonald has been named senior vice president and CFO of Sunoco Inc., effective August 10. He succeeds interim CFO Terence Delaney, who will stay in that role through the filing of the company’s second quarter 10-Q, and then continue in a transitional position through the end of August. Previously, MacDonald was CFO of Dell Inc.’s commercial business unit.
Online real estate company Move Inc. has named Robert Krolik to the top finance spot. He is a former vice president, global finance operations, of the marketplaces division at eBay.
Patrick Gildea has been promoted to head finance at incentive-program provider VIPGift. He takes over from John Quigley, who will stay on as senior vice president of finance through next year, before retiring.
Dean Durbin is the new CFO at Cengage Learning Inc., a provider of information services to the library reference and educational fields. He joins the company from American Media Inc., where he was CFO and chief operating officer.
Energy company Hyperdynamics Corp. has named Jason Davis to head the finance function. He replaces Sarah Berel-Harrop, who resigned to pursue other opportunities. Previously, Davis was vice president and interim CFO at Particle Drilling Technologies Inc.
Mack Treece has been named CFO and chief operating officer at managed global IT services provider DataPipe. He is a former president of Teliris.
Healthcare-performance analytics provider MedeAnalytics has appointed Stephen Lerch to head finance. Previously, he was chief revenue officer at Kowabunga! Inc.
John Donovan has been promoted to senior vice president and CFO at Emrise Corp., a manufacturer of communications equipment and electronic devices for the aerospace and defense industries. He has been vice president of finance and administration, secretary, and treasurer of the company since May 2007.
