- John Killian will replace Doreen Toben as CFO of Verizon Communications. Toben last week announced plans to retire from the company in mid-2009. Killian moves over from his role as president of Verizon Business, which he has led since it was formed in 2006.
- Savient Pharmaceuticals had terminated its current CFO Brian Hayden. Replacing him immediately is David Gionoco, who has served as the Brunswick, New Jersey-based company’s vice president of corporate finance and controller for the past three years.
- Bill Noon has been promoted to CFO of eLoyalty Corporation, replacing CFO and corporate secretary Chris Min. Noon has worked for eLoyalty for nine years, most recently as vice president and controller. Before coming to the contact solutions and behavioral analytics company, Noon worked for Moore Corporation.
- Software-as-a-service company Purewire Inc. has appointed Carolyn Zelnio as its CFO. Zelnio previously served in executive roles at EnterConnect Inc., Witness Systems, Inc., and The Alpine Group Inc.
- Theodore Sanders, Jr. is the new CFO of U.S. Auto Parts Network. He was most recently CFO of ViewSonic Corporation and headed finance fo PC Mall Inc. from 1997 to 2007.
- Generate, a production and management company, has added Chris Gwiazda to its management team in the role of CFO. Previously Gwiazda held finance and analysis positions at HBO.
- Doug Ford, the CFO of Carlsbad, Calif.-based Phoenix Footwear Group, has stepped down along with chief executive Cathy Taylor. Dennis Nelson has been appointed CFO and Russell Hall president and CEO. Nelson has been the company’s controller since June 2008. Before that he was director of finance for TaylorMade-Adidas Golf Company.
- The appliance and electronic retailer Hhgregg Inc. has announced that CFO Donald J.B. Van der Wiel is leaving to pursue other options. The announcement camr after the company promoted chief operating officer Dennis May to be its new CEO.
- Ralf Degni has resigned as CFO of Platmin Limited. His replacement is Wayne Koonin. who had headed finance for Ivanhone Nickel and Platinum Limited.
- The diagnostic imaging product company Digirad has named Richard Slansky CFO, starting March 9, 2009. Slansky, 51, has previously served as CFO of both private and public companies including SpaceDev Inc., Path 1 Network Technologies, Nautronix, Alexis Corporation, and Calbiochem-Novabiochem International.
- The Fortune 500 commercial real estate company CB Richard Ellis has named Robert Sulentic, CEO of the company’s development services business, as its CFO. Ellis also has been group president of CB Richard Ellis’ EMEA and Asia Pacific operations and CFO and CEO of Trammell Crow Company.
