Thomas Okray | Nikola
Electric truck maker Nikola hired Thomas Okray as finance chief. Since 2021, Okray has been chief financial officer of intelligent power management company Eaton. He was also previously chief financial officer of Grainger and Advance Auto Parts. Before that, he was vice president of finance in Amazon’s global customer fulfillment division. Okray also held various executive and CFO roles at General Motors for over 14 years, including extensive time in product development. Okray succeeds Anastasiya Pasterick, who resigned from the role in November 2023.
Daniel Tempesta | Cerence
Daniel Tempesta was named chief financial officer of Cerence, a software company that develops artificial intelligence assistant technology primarily for automobiles. Tempesta has spent the last 15 years at Nuance, where he was most recently CFO. During Tempesta’s tenure at Nuance, he held several finance leadership roles, including chief accounting officer and senior vice president of finance. Before that, he was the corporate controller and chief accounting officer at Teradyne and previously held several roles at PwC. Tempesta replaces Tom Beaudoin, who has been CFO since May 2022.
Andy Roeder | Patrick Industries
Patrick Industries, a building products and materials supplier for the manufactured housing and recreational vehicle industries, appointed Andy Roeder as its new chief financial officer. Roeder joins the company from power sports vehicle manufacturer Polaris, where he has been CFO of Polaris Boats since 2018. Before that, he was at luxury pontoon boat manufacturer Bennington Marine, where he was most recently CFO. Roeder replaces interim CFO Matt Filer, who will return to his role as senior vice president of finance and will take on the additional responsibility of corporate controller.
Jerry Raphael | Hypori
Jerry Raphael was appointed chief financial officer of mobile security company Hypori. Raphael most recently was chief financial officer of security information and event management provider Securonix. Raphael also held the CFO position at cybersecurity asset management provider Axonius, where he helped lead the team through hypergrowth including international expansion, and at enterprise SaaS knowledge share platform Stack Overflow. He also previously held finance leadership roles at contextual marketing company Vibrant Media, professional wrestling media company WWE, and Grant Thornton.
John Hyun | Grabango
Grabango, a company that provides checkout-free technology to retail chains, named John Hyun as CFO. Hyun joins the company from SaaS analytics provider Mode Analytics, where as CFO. He was previously vice president of finance at SaaS legal tech company Rocket Lawyer and video advertising technology provider YuMe, where he was a member of its IPO readiness team. V. He also has experience as an investment and corporate banker with clients including Kroger, US Foods, Nike, and Harry & David.
Mike Jones | LocatorX
LocatorX hired Mike Jones as its new finance chief. Jones brings nearly 35 years of experience at UPS, including CFO of UPS Global Freight Forwarding, which included air and ocean freight and brokerage services, and UPS Airlines, one of the largest worldwide cargo airlines. He also was vice president of investor relations at UPS and was recognized as a Top IR Executive in the transportation sector. Jones replaces Eddie Northen, who was named CFO in July 2023.
Giorgio “Matteo” Tarditi | United Natural Foods
United Natural Foods appointed Giorgio “Matteo” Tarditi as the grocery wholesaler’s president and chief financial officer. Tarditi has worked at General Electric for more than 26 years and has been CFO of seven of its business units, including large divisions of the power, oil, and gas, aerospace, and health-care businesses. Most recently, he was group FP&A leader of GE Corporate. Tarditi succeeds the company’s CFO John Howard, who will leave the company after a transition period. He takes the president role from Sandy Douglas, who will remain the company’s CEO.
John Cappadona | EverSmith Brands
John Cappadona was named chief financial officer of EverSmith Brands, a platform of franchised brands focused on the commercial facilities sector. For the last six years, Cappadona has worked as CFO of School of Rock, a performance-based music education business. Earlier roles included vice president of finance at aviation company Sentient Jet, director of financial planning and analysis at office products supplier W.B. Mason, and vice president of operational finance at medical device business Gyrus ACMI.
