Sonus Networks Inc. has named Maurice Castonguay CFO. He succeeds Wayne Pastore, who has headed finance since April 2010. Previously, Castonguay was CFO of BigBand Networks Inc.

Gray Benoist, finance chief and senior vice president, finance, of networking, cable, and connectivity products designer and manufacturer Belden Inc., plans to retire from the company. He will be replaced on January 1, 2012, by H. P. C. Derksen, now vice president, corporate finance.

Randy Stone, CFO of SCAN Health Plan Arizona and SCAN Long-Term Care Arizona, will add to his responsibilities when he takes on the role of CFO of SCAN Health Plan. Formerly, he headed finance at L.A. Care Health Plan.

Advanced voice technology company Audience Inc. has named Kevin Palatnik to lead the finance function. Most recently, he was CFO of Cadence Design Systems Inc.

Professional-services firm CDI Corp. has appointed Robert Larney to the top finance spot. He takes over from Mark Kerschner, who is leaving CDI after serving as CFO since 2005. Larney joins the company from Tekni-Plex Inc., where he also was finance chief.

Red Lion Hotels Corp. has named Julie Shiflett to head finance, succeeding Dan Jackson. She has been under contract as vice president of finance since October 2010.

Stacy Hodges has been promoted to finance chief and treasurer of SWS Group. Hodges has been interim CFO and treasurer of the financial-services firm since October 2010; before that, she was CFO of one of the company’s subsidiaries, Southwest Securities Inc.

Sagent Pharmaceuticals Inc. has named Jonathon Singer to lead the finance function. He succeeds Ron Pauli, who has been named to the newly created post of chief business officer. Previously, Singer was CFO and senior vice president of finance at Landauer Inc.

Michael Leatherman has been elected interim CFO, acting principal financial officer, and acting principal accounting officer of Landauer Inc., a manufacturer and marketer of radiation-detection monitors. Leatherman, who has been a member of the board since 2008, replaces Jonathon Singer, who has left the firm (see above).

Aviat Networks Inc. has announced that Thomas Cronan III, head of finance since 2009, has resigned. A search is under way for his successor; in the meantime, principal accounting officer and corporate controller John Madigan will be acting CFO.
