NBCUniversal has named Vasant Prabhu finance chief, effective June 1. He joins the company from Starwood Hotels & Resorts Worldwide, where he is vice chairman and CFO.
David Granville-Smith has been appointed to lead the finance function at A+E Networks. He takes over from Gerard Gruosso, who is retiring. Formerly, Granville-Smith was a managing director and head of the media group at J.P. Morgan’s investment-banking division.
Petco has named Larry Rutkowski to the top finance spot. Most recently, he headed finance at The Warnaco Group.
Macy Lee has been chosen to head finance at peer-to-peer lender Prosper Marketplace. She formerly led the finance function at eBay Australia.
Diversified consumer-products firm Spectrum Brands Holdings has said that finance chief Tony Genito will be leaving the company at the end of the year. A search is under way for a successor for Genito, who has been CFO since 2007.
Carolyn Spatafora has been named to the top finance spot at Town Sports InternationalHoldings, effective May 12. She takes over from Daniel Gallagher, who in January was promoted to president and chief operating officer at the fitness clubs owner and operator. Most recently, Spatafora headed finance at Sbarro.
Medical-device company NuVasive has promoted Quentin Blackford to finance chief, effective Aug. 1. He replaces Michael Lambert, who will stay on at the firm through March of next year. Blackford has been executive vice president of finance, accounting and investor relations since February.
CFO Richard Schweinhart has announced that he plans to retire from real estate investment trust Ventas at the end of the year. The company has begun a search for a successor to Schweinhart, who has headed finance since joining the firm in 2002.
Management-consulting firm North Highland has named David Cathcart to the top finance spot. He joins the company from TRX, where he was interim CEO, and before that, CFO.
