Cable operators Charter Communications and Comcast jointly named Matthew Siegel the chief financial officer of “SpinCo,” the new company that will be spun off from Comcast after the merger with Time Warner Cable. Siegel is currently the treasurer of Time Warner Cable and will serve in that position until the closing of the merger. Siegel is also formerly senior vice president of finance and treasurer of Insight Communications.

Burt W. Podbere has been appointed finance chief of OpenDNS, a provider of Internet security and domain name system services. Podbere was formerly CFO of Net Optics, which was acquired last year. He also managed the IPO of Epocrates, developer of a point-of-care medical application for physicians.

Analytics provider CoreLogic announced that Frank Martell, the company’s finance chief since August 2011, would be taking on the additional role of chief operating officer. In addition to overseeing financial, technology and strategic sourcing operations, Martell will have oversight of CoreLogic’s technology and processing solutions, asset management and processing solutions, and property information and analytics groups.

Specialty-chemical manufacturer Rockwood Holdings appointed CFO Robert Zatta as its interim chief executive officer, as of June 30. Current CEO Seifi Ghasemi is leaving the company to become CEO of Air Products & Chemicals. Zatta has been senior vice president and CFO since April 2001, after spending 12 years with the Campbell Soup Co.

Software-as-a-service provider Relayware named John Benecke chief financial officer. In addition to core finance functions, Benecke will oversee strategic business planning, M&A, IP protection and organizational performance.

The former CFO of GNC, the specialty retailer of health and wellness products, has been appointed chief administrative officer and executive vice president of business development of 4moms, a special-purpose robotics company that makes high-tech baby gear. The executive, Mike Nuzzo, helped lead GNC’s initital public offering in 2011 and prior to GNC served in the finance department at Abercrombie & Fitch for nine years.

Predictive analytics firm RapidMiner named Mark Baltier chief financial officer. The company said Baltier, most recently CFO of Gizmox and Streambase Systems, would be responsible for “guiding strategies to secure financial capital, optimizing financial processes, and analyzing and negotiating new business opportunities.”

Lancaster Colony, a consumer goods manufacturer, named Douglas Fell its CFO, effective July 1. Fell will replacing retiring finance chief John Boylan, who has been in the position for 17 years. Fell is senior vice president of finance for T. Marzetti Co., a Lancaster subsidiary.

To replace ousted CEO Dov Charney, Los Angeles-based American Apparel named CFO John Luttrell its interim CEO. Luttrell has been CFO of the clothing manufacturer and distributor since February 2011, and previously held finance positions at Old Navy, The Wet Seal and Cost Plus.
