James Mackey has been named to lead the finance function at Freddie Mac, effective the week of November 11. He succeeds Ross Kari, who had said he planned to retire. Mackey had been CFO of Ally Financial, where he will be replaced by corporate treasurer Christopher Halmy.
McKesson, an IT and health-care services company, has named James Beer to the top finance spot. He takes over from Jeff Campbell, who left the firm in June. Most recently, Beer headed finance at Symantec.
Glen Herrick has been promoted to CFO at Meta Financial Group, replacing Dave Leedom. Herrick had been senior vice president of finance and investment management.
Commercial Vehicle Group has selected C. Timothy Trenary as its next finance chief. He joins the firm from ProBuild Holdings, where he also was CFO.

Online trading services provider Gain Capital Holdings has chosen Jason Emerson to head finance. Previously, he was managing director and business manager of the global execution services division at KCG Holding.
Tom Collins has been promoted to the top finance spot at Hooper Holmes. He succeeds Michael Shea, who resigned. Formerly, Collins was senior vice president of operations for the company’s portamedic division.
