Henry Schein announced that Steven Paladino plans to retire as executive vice president and CFO, effective Apr.29, 2022, after 35 years of service. Ronald N. South, the company’s vice president of finance since 2008 and chief accounting officer since 2013, was named the health care distributor’s next CFO, as provided for in its finance team succession plan. Paladino, who was first named CFO in 1993, will remain a board member.
Sandra Cavanah
Primary care group Crossover Health named Sandra Cavanah its chief financial officer. She will oversee financial strategy and discipline, including financial planning & analysis (FP&A), accounting, and the company’s strategic investments. Cavanah most recently served as CFO of San Francisco-based Vida Health. Previously, she held the CFO role at genetic counseling firm Genome Medical and Glooko, a diabetes-focused global SaaS company.
Internet conglomerate IAC/InterActiveCorp. hired Christopher Halpin, a National Football League executive, as its next finance chief. At the NFL, Halpin was executive vice president and chief strategy & growth officer, responsible for, among other things, the NFL’s digital and sports betting strategies, data and analytics, and international expansion. Before the NFL, Halpin was a partner and managing director at Providence Equity Partners. He replaces Glenn Schiffman, who left in June 2021 and became finance chief of Fanatics.
Outdoor equipment company Clarus appointed finance veteran Michael Yates as chief financial officer. Yates was most recently chief accounting officer at IDEX, a position he had held since 201o. Before serving 16 years at IDEX, Yates worked at PricewaterhouseCoopers and KPMG.
Fulcrum Therapeutics, a clinical-stage biopharmaceutical company focused on genetically defined rare diseases, appointed Esther Rajavelu as finance chief. Rajavelu brings nearly 20 years of experience in the life sciences sector. She was most recently a senior equities research analyst at UBS Securities, covering small and mid-cap biotechs.
Zvi Glasman
Pet health products company PetIQ tapped Zvi Glasman as its new finance chief. Before joining PetIQ, Glasman held CFO positions at Faraday Future, Fox Factory Holdings, Motive Eyewear, and Marshall and Swift. He began his finance career at Walt Disney. Glasman succeeds John Newland, who is retiring.
Electric-van manufacturer Workhorse Group named a new finance chief, Robert Ginnan. Ginnan previously served as chief executive of Family RV Group, a privately held recreational-vehicle dealer. In September 2021, Workhorse CEO Steve Schrader and COO Rob Willison left the company in a management shake-up at the publicly held company.
Barfresh Food Group, a provider of frozen, ready-to-blend and drink beverages, announced that its board of directors had named Lisa Roger as its new CFO. Before joining Barfresh, Roger served as controller of FreshRealm and vice president of accounting and tax for Fox Factory, a publicly held manufacturer.
SpotOn Transact, a San Francisco-based payment processing company, appointed Lisa Banks chief financial officer. Banks most recently served as senior vice president of finance at software company ServiceNow.
