Michelle Hook | Shake Shack
Portillo’s CFO Michelle Hook has left the restaurant chain to become finance chief of Shake Shack, effective May 11. Hook joined Portillo’s in 2020 as finance chief and played a key role in its 2021 IPO. Before joining Portillo’s, she spent over 17 years in leadership roles at the pizza chain Domino's, most recently as vice president of finance, global FP&A and investor relations. She earlier worked at cement manufacturer Holcim and started her career as a senior auditor at Arthur Andersen.
Brian Witherow | Six Flags
Brian Witherow will step down as CFO of Six Flags on May 8. The amusement park operator named its chief accounting officer, Dave Hoffman, to serve as interim finance lead during the transition. Witherow joined Six Flags as finance chief in July 2024 from Cedar Fair Entertainment Company, where he worked for almost 30 years, including 12 years as CFO.
Chris Monroe | CEC Entertainment
CEC Entertainment, the parent company of Chuck E. Cheese and Peter Piper Pizza, named Chris Monroe as chief financial officer. Monroe most recently was the CFO of restaurant chain Texas Roadhouse. Monroe joined Texas Roadhouse in June 2023 from Southwest Airlines, where he worked for 30 years, most recently as senior vice president of finance and treasurer. CEC Entertainment’s former finance chief, Scott Drake, was promoted to chief executive officer in February.
Marc Thompson | ICIMS
Enterprise hiring platform ICIMS promoted CFO Marc Thompson to chief executive officer, effective May 17. Thompson joined ICIMS as chief financial officer in September 2024. Before that, he was the finance chief of service commerce platform EverCommerce. He earlier held managing director positions at Oppenheimer, CIBC Capital Partners and CIBC World Markets. Thompson succeeds Jason Edelboim, who is leaving the company “to pursue a new opportunity”, according to a LinkedIn post. Edelboim has been CEO since January 2024.
Jonathan Dobres | Pagaya
Pagaya named its chief strategy officer, Jonathan Dobres, as finance chief of the fintech company, effective June 15. Dobres joined Pagaya in 2021 as head of strategy and corporate development, then became chief strategy officer in January 2025. He earlier held senior investment roles at Hudson Executive Capital, including CFO of Hudson-sponsored investment vehicles Flexis Capital and P. Schoenfeld Asset Management. Dobres started his career as a bank regulatory and M&A lawyer at Sullivan & Cromwell and as a Vice President in technology investment banking at Bear Stearns & Co. Dobres succeeds Evangelos Perros, who will transition to an adviser role before leaving the company at the end of the year.
Kari Wimmer | Couchbase
Couchbase hired Kari Wimmer as chief financial officer of the cloud database platform firm. Wimmer joins the company from Intellistack, where she has been finance chief since April 2025. Before that, she worked at benefits administration technology company Businessolver, where she was most recently vice president of finance. Wimmer earlier held senior executive roles at P2 Energy Solutions, Arrow Electronics and IHS Markit.
Bill Koefoed | Harness
Harness, an AI software delivery platform firm, hired Bill Koefoed as chief financial officer. Koefoed was most recently CFO of OneStream Software, where he guided the finance software company through its 2024 IPO. Last month, OneStream was acquired by private equity firm Hg for $6.4 billion and stopped trading on the Nasdaq. Koefoed earlier held CFO roles at online retailer Blue Nile and IT automation firm Puppet. He was also CFO of Microsoft's Skype Division and general manager of investor relations at Microsoft. Koefoed currently serves as a board member and audit committee chair for Bank OZK and Entrata, a property management operating system company.
Jennifer Kartychak | Worksport
Truck bed cover manufacturer Worksport promoted Jennifer Kartychak to finance chief, principal financial officer and principal accounting officer. She has worked with Worksport since August 2023 through Arend Advisory Group, an entity owned by Kartychak, before joining it full-time as vice president of finance in January. Earlier roles include training development specialist at training firm GAAP Dynamics, director-at-large of The New York State Society of CPAs and manager of corporate accounting at manufacturing company Moog. Kartychak replaces former chief financial officer Michael Johnston, who resigned on April 30.
