Scott Dussault | Vectra AI

Veteran CFO Scott Dussault has joined Vectra AI, an AI-driven cyber threat detection and response provider, as chief financial officer, replacing Howie Shohet. Dussault was most recently CFO of Workhuman, a human capital management software provider. Dussault has held CFO positions at Nasuni, Demandware (acquired by Salesforce), Archivas, and StorageNetworks. “Scott’s proven track record of driving revenue and managing financial growth for multi-billion dollar enterprises is a critical asset to Vectra AI,” said CEO Hitesh Sheth.
Florence Neubauer | Zevia
Zevia, a maker of sugarless beverages, appointed senior VP of FP&A Florence Neubauer to interim finance chief after the announced departure of Denise Beckles next month. Prior to joining Zevia a year ago, Neubauer was CFO of Assouline Publishing. Before that she held finance director roles at PepsiCo, Pernod Ricard, and Honeywell. Zevia, launched in 2007, went public in July 2021.
Paul Carbone | Panera Brands

Panera Brands named Paul Carbone, former finance chief of Dunkin’ Brands, to the CFO seat, effective this week. Carbone spent nine years at Dunkin’ and has also been CFO of YETI Holdings and, most recently, SharkNinja, a provider of small household appliances. He had his first CFO role at Tween Brands. Carbone replaces Konrad Myer, a partner at JAB Holding who stepped in a year ago to replace Ted Stedem. In August 2021, JAB combined Panera Bread, Caribou Coffee, and Einstein Bros. Bagels under one banner.
Ken Cleary | Scholastic

Educational publisher Scholastic promoted Ken Cleary to president of the company’s international business and subsidiaries. Cleary will continue in the top finance role until the company appoints a successor, for which it has retained a search firm. Cleary took over as finance chief in 2017 after spending three years at Scholastic as chief accounting officer. He joined the company in 2008 as vp of external reporting and compliance.
Robert Dickey | Invitae
Medical genetics company Invitae named Robert Dickey its interim chief financial officer. Dickey, who currently serves as a member of the board of AngioGenex, SFA Therapeutics, and GSNO Therapeutics, succeeds Christine Gorjanc, the chair of the company’s audit committee. Gorjanc stepped in on July 1 when former CFO Yafei (Roxi) Wen resigned to pursue other opportunities. (Wen is now an operating partner at Insight Partners.) Dickey spent 18 years in investment banking, mostly at Lehman Brothers. As a part-time or interim CFO, Dickey has consulted with more than 10 life sciences companies.
Leo Basola | Spire Global

Spire Global named Leo Basola as its new chief financial officer, replacing Thomas Krywe, who held the title of CFO for nearly five years. Spire, a space-based data and analytics provider, said Basola’s focus would be to lead the company to profitability. It hopes to become free-cash-flow positive in the second or third quarter of 2024. Basola was previously senior finance officer of Equifax and CFO of ChemTreat for five years. He spent 16 years at General Electric and its insurance spinoff, Genworth Financial, holding CFO and acting CFO titles.
Pedro Arnt | Dlocal

CFO Pedro Arnt has left Latin American online commerce marketplace MercadoLibre to become co-CEO of Dlocal, a Uruguayan cross-border payments company. Arnt was at MercadoLibre for 24 years, the last 12 as chief financial officer. At Dlocal, he will serve alongside co-CEO Sebastián Kanovich and focus on expanding Dlocal’s payments platform for emerging market business clients. With Arnt’s departure, MercadoLibre appointed Martín de los Santos as its new CFO.
