British telecoms group Vodafone appointed the company’s interim CEO and chief financial officer, Margherita Della Valle, as its permanent chief executive officer. Della Valle will continue as group chief financial officer until an external search for a new group CFO is complete. Della Valle joined the company in 1994 and held roles in marketing and analytics before moving to finance.
John Enwright is stepping down as Vera Bradley’s CFO as part of an ongoing restructuring plan at the handbag and luggage retailer. Enwright, who has been CFO since 2017, will be replaced by Michael Schwindle on May 8. Since early 2020, Schwindle has been CFO for accessory and jewelry retailer Claire’s. He previously held CFO roles at specialty retailers Fleet Farm, Payless ShoeSource, Harry & David, and Musician’s Friend, as well as other financial leadership roles at Home Depot and Limited Brands.
Stephen Roncone was appointed chief financial officer of the U.S. Secret Service. Roncone previously spent six years working at U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) as assistant director and chief financial officer. A veteran of the U.S. Coast Guard, Roncone served 22 years as an active-duty officer, including a key interagency budget role within U.S. Department of Transportation’s CFO office. With experience as both a civil engineer and an asset manager, Roncone has led multiple major infrastructure projects.
Kevin Rhodes will take over as CFO of cloud networking company Extreme Networks on May 30. Rhodes was previously CFO of SaaS provider Duck Creek Technologies. He previously held chief financial officer roles at Finvi, Markforged, Brightcove, PlumChoice, and Edgewater Consulting. Rhodes replaces interim CFO Cristina Tate, who will continue in her role of senior vice president of finance.
TreeHouse Foods’ interim chief financial officer Patrick O’Donnell will take on the role permanently. O’Donnell has been interim CFO since June 2022 in addition to his role as chief accounting officer. He joined the food and beverage manufacturer in 2017 and has held increasingly senior finance and accounting roles for the company. Before joining the company, he held finance leadership roles for more than 14 years at PricewaterhouseCoopers.
Tarsus Pharmaceuticals appointed Jeff Farrow as its new chief financial officer and chief strategy officer. Most recently, Farrow was CFO of Global Blood Therapeutics. Before that, he held CFO roles at ZS Pharma and Hyperion Therapeutics. Farrow succeeds Leo Greenstein who is leaving the company. Greenstein has been CFO since 2020.
Insurance technology company Vertafore named Teresa Chia as finance chief. Before joining Vertafore, Chia was a senior partner and managing director at holding company White Mountains Insurance Group. Before that, she was a private equity investor at Permira Advisors, where she focused on investments in the global technology and consumer verticals. Chia has also served on a variety of governance boards for companies in the insurance industry, including Kinsale Capital Group, Velocity Risk Underwriters, and Spark Advisors.
Reviv3 Procare Company, an e-commerce consumer products company, hired Monica Diaz Brickell as finance chief. She has over 20 years of experience in global publicly traded companies, including several senior finance roles. Most recently, Brickell was international tax manager for Top Golf Callaway Brands. Before that, she was a senior tax associate at Thermo Fisher Scientific. Brickell takes over for Meenu Jain, who is leaving the company for personal reasons.
