Dave Dowrich
Teachers Insurance and Annuity Association of America (TIAA) named Dave Dowrich as finance chief. Dowrich joins the retirement services and investment firm on November 1 from Prudential Financial, where he was CFO for the company’s international business based in Japan. Dowrich previously held senior-level positions at insurance company American International Group, including interim CEO of international life and retirement, CFO of its Japan and Asia Pacific divisions, and CFO and chief financial actuary of institutional markets in the U.S. Earlier in his career, he held senior roles in investment banking at Goldman Sachs and Credit Suisse. Dowrich succeeds Glenn Richter, who resigned in May. The firm’s chief accounting officer, Seun Salami, has been serving as interim CFO since then.
Andrew Krasner
Willis Towers Watson hired Andrew Krasner as CFO. Krasner returns to the company after serving as CFO of AssuredPartners. Krasner’s career with Willis Towers Watson began in 2009, where he previously served as global treasurer and head of mergers and acquisitions for Willis Towers Watson and senior vice president of Willis Towers Watson Securities. Before that, he held various financial roles at PricewaterhouseCoopers, Deutsche Bank, and Bank of America Merrill Lynch. Krasner succeeds Michael Burwell, who is taking on a senior role in the medical and data analytics industry.
Alex Kaleida
Wingstop promoted Alex Kaleida to finance chief. Kaleida joined the restaurant chain in 2019 as vice president of financial planning and analysis and most recently led investor relations. He previously held leadership roles at Wendy’s and Kraft Heinz Company. Kaleida replaces Michael Skipworth, who was promoted to president and chief operating officer of the company. Skipworth joined Wingstop in December 2014 and most recently served as executive vice president and CFO.
Scotts Miracle-Gro named Cory Miller executive vice president and chief financial officer. Miller was promoted to senior vice president and chief financial officer on an interim basis earlier this year. During his more than 20-year tenure, Miller has held a series of corporate and operating roles, culminating in his current role as vice president of finance at Hawthorne Gardening Company, the company’s subsidiary for indoor and hydroponic growing.
Sara Furber
Tradeweb appointed Sara Furber as chief financial officer, effective September 7. Furber joins the electronic trading provider from U.S. equity exchange operator IEX Group, where she has been CFO since 2018. Furber previously spent two decades in senior roles at Morgan Stanley and Bank of America Merrill Lynch. She succeeds Robert Warshaw, who will leave the company following a transition period.
Flat-rolled steel producer Cleveland-Cliffs promoted Celso Goncalves to executive vice president and chief financial officer. Goncalves joined the company in 2016 and was most recently senior vice president of finance and treasurer. Before that, he worked in investment banking at Deutsche Bank and Jefferies.
Lawrence Molloy
Sprouts Farmers Market appointed Lawrence Molloy as chief financial officer, effective September 25. Molloy has served on Sprouts’ board of directors since 2013 and served as interim chief financial officer from June 2019 to February 2020. Molloy’s 30-plus year career includes executive leadership service as CFO of PetSmart and Under Armour as well as interim CEO of Torrid. Lawrence also served 10 years in the U.S. Navy as a fighter pilot, later retiring from the Navy Reserve with the rank of commander. Molloy succeeds Denise Paulonis, who is leaving the company to take over as president and CEO of Sally Beauty Holdings. Paulonis joined Sprouts Farmers Market in February 2020.
Sandra Wallach
Amprius Technologies named Sandra Wallach as the battery manufacturer’s chief financial officer. Wallach was most recently CFO of security technology company Identiv. Before that, she served as vice president of finance for MiaSole, a thin-film solar technology company. She previously held finance roles at Juniper Networks and Intuit and was finance chief of General Electric’s industrial systems, drives, and controls division.
Shig Hamamatsu
Shig Hamamatsu was named vice president, CFO, and treasurer of smart communications platform Ooma, effective September 7. Hamamatsu most recently served as CFO of medical device provider Accuray. Before that, Hamamatsu held senior financial roles at companies including Cepheid, Cypress Semiconductor, RPX, and NetLogic Microsystems. He began his career at PricewaterhouseCoopers.
Fintech company XTM hired Paul Dowdall as CFO, effective September 13. Dowdall was most recently CFO for Ignite International Brands, where he was responsible for managing the financial and IT operations across 11 corporate entities in 7 different countries. Before that, he was CFO of Diamond Estates Wine and Spirits. Dowdall previously held various finance management positions at Apple Canada and Blackberry.
