Joanne Wilson | Diageo
Joanne Wilson will join Diageo, the maker of Guinness, Casamigos and Johnnie Walker, as chief financial officer in 2027. Wilson has been CFO of British advertising group WPP since April 2023. She previously held senior financial and commercial roles at drinks company Britvic, customer data science firm Dunnhumby, Tesco and KPMG. Wilson is also a non-executive director at Informa, CFO.com’s parent company. Wilson replaces Nik Jhangiani, who has been CFO since May 2024.
Mark Thurston | Endava
Endava placed its CFO, Mark Thurston, on administrative leave amid an investigation into the global technology services firm’s accounting practices. According to the firm, the investigation centers on its accounting treatment of certain customer and supplier agreements. Thurston's leave is pending the outcome of the investigation. Thurston, who has been CFO since 2015, according to his LinkedIn profile, will be replaced in the interim by Conor McShane of business advisory firm AlixPartners.
Niclas Neglen | Adyen
Dutch digital payments processor Adyen hired Niclas Neglen as chief financial officer, effective Feb. 1, 2027. Neglen joins the company from buy now, pay later company Klarna, where he has been chief financial officer since 2021. He was earlier CFO and chief operating officer for EMEA at HSBC Private Bank. Neglen also spent 13 years at GE, where he held several senior financial leadership roles. Neglen replaces interim CFO Hwa Tsao, who took over in August for outgoing CFO Ethan Tandowsky. Tandowsky left to become chief financial officer of ElevenLabs, a company in the AI voice sector.
Todd Cello | TransUnion
Todd Cello will step down as chief financial officer of TransUnion on Dec. 31. Cello, who has worked at the credit reporting agency for 29 years, will transition to a full-time adviser until March 1, 2027. He has been CFO since 2017 and has held several financial leadership positions throughout his tenure. TransUnion has started its search for its next CFO.
James Sullivan | QuickLogic
James Sullivan was appointed chief financial officer of QuickLogic, a fabless semiconductor company, effective Oct. 5. Sullivan most recently served as CFO of semiconductor company Peraso. Before that, he spent 14 years as CFO of fabless semiconductor company MoSys. He previously served as CFO at Apptera, a voice advertising firm, and 8x8, a cloud business communications company. Sullivan succeeds Elias Nader, who resigned on Sept. 18. Nader joined the company as finance chief in February 2022 from Pixelworks, where he held the same position.
Brea Schmidt | Crowley
Maritime and logistics firm Crowley promoted Brea Schmidt to finance chief. Schmidt joined the company in 2025 as a vice president of finance and led FP&A across the enterprise. She was earlier chief financial officer of Alaska Communications.
Robert Hewlett III | University of Michigan
University of Michigan named Robert Hewlett III as its new finance chief. Hewlett has been interim CFO since October 2025, when Geoffrey Chatas left to become senior vice president of operations at Yale University. Hewlett joined University of Michigan Health System in January 2011 as a senior financial analyst. He has held several financial leadership roles throughout his tenure, including vice president of finance. He started his career at PwC.
Carla Anderson Skogland | ThriftBooks
Carla Anderson Skogland was named finance chief of ThriftBooks, an online independent book seller. Anderson Skogland joined the retailer in April as its interim CFO, according to LinkedIn. Anderson Skogland has over 25 years of financial leadership experience across retail, technology and telecommunications, including at Amazon, Starbucks and T-Mobile. She was also chief financial officer of Sono Bello, a chain of cosmetic surgery centers.
