• Virgin Mobile has appointed John Feehan chief financial officer of its Financial Operations Group. He was vice president of financial operations for Virgin Mobile for almost five years. Previously, he served as CFO of SAGE BioPharma.
• Mark Wabschall will resign from WebMethods as chief financial officer at the end of the calendar year. He has been with the software company since 2004 and served as the CFO for more than a year. John Andary, formerly an interim CFO of Covansys, will serve as the interim principal finance officer.
• Scotts Miracle-Gro has promoted David Evans to executive vice president and chief financial officer. He replaces Chris Nagel, who has been named executive vice president of the North American consumer business. A 12-year veteran of Scotts, Evans most recently was senior vice president of finance and global shared services.
• James Baio, executive vice president, chief financial officer, and treasurer of Franklin Resources, is resigning, effective October 20. He has accepted a position as CFO with a privately held real estate financial services company in California. Pending approval by the board of directors, Kenneth Lewis, vice president of enterprise risk management, will serve as the interim CFO and treasurer.
• Pegasystems has appointed Craig Dynes as chief financial officer. Dynes previously served as CFO of Demandware and SilverStream Software, which was acquired by Novell. He was also president and CEO of Narad Networks. His predecessor, former CFO Chris Sullivan, resigned in May to take a position with a private company. Shawn Hoyt, who had been serving as interim CFO, will return to his position as general counsel.
• Asteres has named Cyril Talbot chief financial officer. He was most recently CFO for Mad Catz Interactive, and he also served as finance chief of DJ Orthopedics. Asteres develops kiosks.
• Stan Moser has taken the position of chief financial officer with the Mount Kisco Medical Group in New York. Previously, he was CFO at Billings Clinic.
• Transaction Systems Architects has appointed Henry Lyons senior vice president and chief financial officer, effective September 18. He most recently served as CFO for the Discovery Systems business unit of GE Healthcare. TSA’s current finance chief, David Bankhead, will remain with the company as a senior vice president.
• SiTime has named Craig Garber chief financial officer. Previously, Garber was the vice president of corporate finance and treasurer of Lam Research Corp.
• Durect has hired Matthew Hogan as chief financial officer. Before joining the pharmaceutical company, Hogan was CFO at Ciphergen Biosystems, Avocet Medical, and Microcide Pharmaceuticals.
• John Oliver, chief financial officer of Action Products International, resigned on September 8. The toy designer and manufacturer appointed Ronald Kaplan, its chief executive, as CFO until a successor is named.
• iCAD has appointed Darlene Deptula-Hicks executive vice president of finance and chief financial officer. She previously served as CFO of ONI Medical Systems and Implant Sciences Corp.
