Duke Energy’s board of directors elected David Hauser group vice president and chief financial officer, effective immediately. Hauser, who has spent 30 years with Duke, had been serving as acting CFO since November.
Abercrombie & Fitch Co. named Susan Riley chief financial officer. Most recently she served as CFO of the Mount Sinai Medical Center in New York; previously she held CFO posts at Dial Corp. and Tambrands Inc.
Burger King Corp. named John Chidsey chief financial and administrative officer. Chidsey has been chief executive of two divisions of Cendant Corp.: vehicle services, which includes Avis and Budget rental cars, and financial services, which includes Jackson Hewitt. Chidsey will report to Brad Blum, Burger King’s chief executive, and will be responsible for strategic planning, budgeting, information technology, and risk management.
Mercury Computer Systems Inc. named Robert Hult chief financial officer. He has served as a senior manager in corporate finance, operations, and business development. Joseph Hartnett, the interim chief financial officer, will continue in his role as vice president, controller.
Exact Sciences Corp. announced that chief financial officer John McCarthy has resigned. The company added that he left to “pursue other opportunitiesÂ.John concluded that his professional aspirations are broader than the company’s current needs.” Exact Sciences’ controller, Stephen Read, will act as interim CFO while the company searches for a permanent replacement for McCarthy.
