- The New York Stock Exchange appointed Michael Ferraro as senior vice president and controller, corporate finance. He will report to Amy Butte, chief financial officer and executive vice president, corporate finance. Ferraro, who was most recently vice president and controller for Lehman Brothers Bank, will be responsible for the controllers department and the newly created business unit controllers group, which will serve as designated financial officers to various business units of the Exchange.
- Visteon Corp. named James Palmer executive vice president and chief financial officer, effective June 2. He brings more than 30 years’ experience in finance and accounting to Visteon, having served in a variety of senior management positions at Boeing Co. and McDonnell Douglas Corp. Palmer will oversee the corporate finance office, which includes the controller, treasury, tax, and audit functions, and will serve as a member of Visteon’s strategy council.
- Kent Kleeberger has resigned as chief financial officer of apparel retailer Retailer Too Inc., effective June 23. Chief operating officer William May will assume Kleeberger’s responsibilities.
- Peter Thornton was named chief financial officer and senior vice president of Antigenics Inc., a biotechnology firm focused on developing products to treat cancers, infectious diseases, and autoimmune disorders. He replaces Jeff Clark, who resigned after one year on the job. For the 10 years, Thornton has held senior management positions in accounting, finance, and operations at Elan Corp. Plc.
- Senomyx Inc. appointed John Poyhonen chief financial and business officer. Poyhonen has served as vice president and chief business officer since joining the company last October, and will retain his current responsibilities in addition to his new role as CFO.
- Odyssey Marine Exploration Inc., which conducts deep-ocean shipwreck exploration, appointed controller Michael Holmes as chief financial officer. He replaces Michael Barton, who will remain with Odyssey to work on various projects relating to corporate structure and growth. Holmes has more than 25 years experience in financial management with Anheuser-Busch Cos. Inc.
- Calgary-based Global Link Data Solutions Ltd. announced that senior vice president of finance and chief financial officer Randy Rainsforth died unexpectedly. He had been with the company for more than three years.
