- On the same day it announced a fourth-quarter net loss of $3.6 billion and the suspension of its quarterly dividend, Motorolasaid its prominent CFO,Paul Liska, is leavingthe company. Liska,a former finance chief of Sears, Roebuck, and The St. Paul Cos. who was at Motorola for less than a year, will be replaced by controller Edward Fitzpatrick.
- Former Lehman Brothers CFO Erin Callan has taken a leave of absence from her new job at the Swiss bank Credit Suisse. Callan took over the bank’s hedge-fund unit five months ago. She was pushed out at Lehman last June.
- Sally Dudash has resigned as CFO and principle accounting officer at Harris Stratex Networks. Dudash had headed finance at Harris Stratex since its formation in 2007. The company’s global corporate controller, Russ Mincey, has been named as interim principal financial and accounting officer until a permanent replacement is found.
- Robert Greving, the CFO of insurer Unum Group, announced he will retire later this year. The company has initiated a search for his successor. Greving, who became CFO in 2002, joined the company in 1997.
- Paul Pucino is the new CFO at video-game publisher THQ Inc. He replaces Colin Slade, who is on a medical leave of absence. Pucino was previously CFO and executive vice president of Classmates Media Corp.
- Russ Berrie and Co., the children and infant goods maker, has appointed Guy Paglinco as its interim CFO. He succeeds Anthony Cappiello, who left the company. Paglinco, who joined Russ Berrie in 2006, will maintain his existing duties as vice president and chief accounting officer.
- Doris Meyer has been appointed CFO and corporate secretary of Tournigan Energy, replacing Hans Retterath and Jude Fawcett. Meyer was vice president of finance of Queenstake Resources Ltd. from 1985 to 2003 and corporate secretary until 2004.
- The global creative talent recruiting agency 24 Seven Inc. has promoted its West Coast vice president of operations, Anthony Donnarumma, to chief financial officer. Donnarumma joined the company after its merger with The Gromwell Group, where he was CFO and chief operating officer.
- Winchester Electronics, a maker of interconnect devices, has named Ron Lueptow CFO. Lueptow most recently was president of the Tampa Bay chapter of Financial Executives International.
