>> It’s not Enron Field, but it’ll do. Andrew Fastow, ex—finance chief of fallen energy giant Enron, serves as third-base coach for the Houston Gators, his young son’s team in Houston’s Tadpole Little League (this, according to the New York Times)… Between meetings with lawyers and other advisers over legal struggles surrounding his former employer, Fastow reportedly teaches the youngsters how to slide into third base… Times says Fastow also goes running, teaches Hebrew, and checks in on progress of new 12,000 square foot home that’s under construction…

>> In February, Hale House founder Lorraine Hale was indicted for allegedly stealing $1 million from New York City charity… Now, it turns out the nationally known Harlem children’s shelter has brought in veteran nonprofit CFO Lawrence Davenport to help right the ship… Davenport, now deputy chief administrative officer of the U.S. House of Representatives, named executive director for charity… Davenport spent six years as CFO of Milton Hershey School, a Pennsylvania boarding school for troubled boys, where he oversaw a $5 billion endowment… Also served a turn as vice chancellor and fund-raiser at University of California at San Francisco… Davenport will take home $160,000 in his new job, according to a published report…

>> Apparently, online-auction site UBid Inc. is sold on Robert Tomlinson Jr…. Tomlinson, former Forbes.com Inc. CFO, joined CMGI-owned company as CFO… At Forbes.com, was responsible for financial planning and reporting, contract relations, business development, and compensation planning for sales and business-development units…

Founded in 1997 as part of computer retailer Creative Computers, UBid was acquired in 2000 by then-powerful Internet holding company CMGI… Now that Internet halcyon days are over, CMGI trading at about $1 per share… Fifty-two-week high nearly $6 a share… In March, Hewlett-Packard chose UBid for launch of ChooseHP, a members-only, co-branded, fixed-price shopping site—big deal for Chicago-based UBid… Company also looking for experienced talent to fill top posts… Tomlinson move just one part of management makeover… Other appointments include former Spiegel Catalog SVP of marketing and ad production Christian Feuer as chief executive… Last month, former Yahoo Auctions executive Norman Hullinger joined in new role of SVP of operations…

>> Tech consultancy Gartner executive VP and CFO Regina M. Paolillo is leaving “to pursue entrepreneurial interests” after nine-year tenure… Paolillo joined Stamford, Conn.-based Gartner in 1993… Track to CFO job included stints as EVP and general manager of technology management group, president of the measurement division, and controller… Paolillo will stay on until September 30… Gartner retained search firm Heidrick & Struggles to hire successor…
