
Eric Hart | Plaid
Fintech startup Plaid hired Eric Hart to be its first finance chief. Hart previously worked at travel company Expedia for 13 years, taking over as CFO in 2019. Before that, he was Expedia’s chief strategy officer, which included responsibility for business development, global M&A, and investments. Earlier, he was the general manager of Expedia’s CarRentals.com brand. At the beginning of his career, he held positions at Lake Capital, Boston Consulting Group, and Accenture.
Tom Cowhey | CVS Health
CVS Health CFO Shawn Guertin, also president of health services, is taking a leave of absence due to unforeseen family health reasons. Tom Cowhey, senior vice president of corporate finance, has been appointed interim CFO. Since joining CVS Health in Feb. 2022, Cowhey has overseen investor relations, corporate development, treasury, and finance operations, working closely with Guertin. He was previously CFO of Surgery Partners and worked at Aetna for over a decade in strategy and finance roles.

Jessie Zhang | SprintRay
Dental 3D printing technology company SprintRay appointed Jessie Zhang as chief financial officer. Zhang was most recently vice president of finance of photonic computing startup Lightmatter. Before that, she was the director of finance for corporate FP&A at Apple, where she worked for over 10 years. Earlier she worked at Cisco Systems as a senior controller.
Mark C. Mitchell | Frontier Airlines
Frontier Airlines promoted Mark C. Mitchell, CPA, its vice president of finance and investor relations, to CFO. Mitchell replaces James G. Dempsey, who was named president of the airline, a subsidiary of Fronter Group Holdings. Mitchell joined Frontier in 2015 having served as vice president, accounting, at Starwood Hotels and Resorts Worldwide and corporate controller of Starwood Vacation Ownership. Dempsey joined Frontier in 2014 as chief financial officer and prior to that held senior management roles at Ryanair and PricewaterhouseCoopers.
Nicolette Turner | Headspace
Mental health platform Headspace promoted its senior vice president of finance, Nicolette Turner, to finance chief. Turner joined the company in 2020 and had a vital role in the company’s $3 billion merger with Ginger in 2021. Before joining Headspace, Turner worked at Cardinal Health for four years, most recently as vice president of finance. She earlier held finance roles at Hillrom, McKinsey, and KPMG. Turner replaces Sean Brecker, who left the company after nearly 10 years to become CFO of Oura, a health technology company known for the Oura Ring.

Brad Meader | Dealer Tire
Brad Meader was named finance chief of Dealer Tire, a replacement tire and parts program manager. Meader was most recently CFO of Marcone Group, a repair parts distributor. Before that, he was CFO of specialized truck and heavy equipment solutions provider Custom Truck One Source. He worked in roles of increasing responsibility for over 10 years with PwC, including in the transaction services and risk advisory practices.
Evan Kolter | Simpli.fi
Simpli.fi, an advertising technology company, appointed Evan Kolter as CFO. Most recently, Kolter was chief financial officer for Meriplex, a cybersecurity and IT solutions provider. He previously worked at ATM owner and operator Cardtronics for five years, his last position being executive vice president and acting CFO. He then worked at TD Bank for seven years, most recently as senior vice president and CFO of corporate and specialty banking and TD’s auto finance division. Kolter succeeds Andries Marx, who had headed finance at Simpli.fi since 2015. Marx is leaving to pursue other opportunities and will remain with the company through year-end.

Greg Weaver | Cognito Therapeutics
Cognito Therapeutics appointed Greg Weaver as the clinical-stage neurotechnology company’s new CFO. He previously held CFO roles at oncology company Atossa Therapeutics, medtech company BioIntelliSense, and biopharmaceutical company Eloxx Pharmaceuticals. At Eloxx, he led a reverse merger and a Nasdaq listing. He was also CFO of atai Life Sciences, completing over $282 million in late-stage private capital raises and a $258M IPO at a $2.3 billion valuation.
Eric Amblard | Shiftboard
Shiftboard, a workforce scheduling software provider, named Eric Amblard its new chief financial officer. Most recently, Amblard was CFO of cloud-based digital lending platform Roostify, which CoreLogic acquired in February. Before that, Amblard was the CFO of EverString, a B2B predictive analytics company acquired by ZoomInfo. Amblard has held executive positions at several other companies, including NetBoost, Intel, Ensim, and SAP.

Peter Tang | Butterfly
Peter Tang was promoted to finance chief of Butterfly, a private equity firm specializing in the food sector, adding to his current role as managing director. Tang joined the firm in 2016 as one of the first members of the investment team. He has played a key role in several of Butterfly’s investments, including Bolthouse Farms, Pacifico Aquaculture, and Pete and Gerry's. Earlier, Tang worked at KKR as an investor on the consumer retail private equity team.
