Saori Casey | Sonos
Saori Casey was appointed finance chief of Sonos, a wireless, portable speakers, and home sound systems developer and manufacturer. Since July 2011, Casey has worked as vice president of finance at Apple. Before that, she spent 15 years at Cisco, where she held several finance leadership positions, including vice president of finance and senior director of finance. She currently is on the board of online home remodeling and design platform Houzz, as both chair of the audit committee and a member of the compensation committee. Casey succeeds Eddie Lazarus, who will take on the new role of chief strategy officer while retaining existing duties as chief legal officer.
Kim Kuryea | General Dynamics
Kim Kuryea, senior vice president of human resources and administration at General Dynamics, will become the U.S. defense contractor’s CFO, effective Feb. 15. Since joining General Dynamics in 2000, Kuryea has held a variety of leadership roles, including CFO of one of the company’s business units, head of the company’s internal audit function, and corporate controller. Before joining General Dynamics, she worked at Arthur Andersen. Kuryea takes over for Jason Aiken, who currently serves as executive vice president of Technologies and chief financial officer. Aiken will move from his joint role to focus exclusively on the operating duties of the technologies group.
Jackie Marks | AllianceBernstein
Jackie Marks will take over as chief financial officer of investment firm AllianceBernstein on March 1. Marks most recently worked at media company Condé Nast Publications, where she was CFO for two years. Before that, she worked at Mercer for three years as its chief financial officer and was the CFO of enterprise technology and operations at Thomson Reuters. While at Thomson Reuters, she also served in several financial leadership positions throughout her 15-year tenure, including CFO of Reuters news and editorial. Marks spent her early career in private equity and at Siemens AG.
Eva Scherer | Daimler Truck
Eva Scherer was appointed chief financial officer of Daimler Truck. Scherer has worked at Siemens AG for the last 20 years, most recently as executive vice president and global head of investor relations. She started her professional career in 2003 as a trainee at Siemens AG, and then held various management positions at Siemens in the areas of purchasing and finance and controlling in Germany and Switzerland. Scherer replaces Jochen Goetz, who died suddenly and unexpectedly in a tragic incident in August 2023. Since then, Martin Daum has held the role of interim CFO.
Haji Glover | Scholastic
Haji Glover was named chief financial officer of children’s publishing and media company Scholastic, effective Jan. 22. Glover rejoins the company from Amazon, where was the director of finance. He previously held the role of senior vice president of corporate finance at Scholastic from 2020 to 2022, where he oversaw the corporate finance organization. Before that, he held various finance leadership roles at Lockheed Martin, Ford Motor Company, Honeywell International, and Alvogen Group. Glover succeeds Ken Cleary, who will transition to his new role as president of international.
Julie Andrews | Orthofix
Orthofix appointed Julie Andrews as the spine and orthopedics company’s new finance chief. Andrews was previously CFO of grid technology company Smart Wires Technology. Before that, she was the senior vice president of global finance for medical device company Wright Medical Group and she held the vice president of finance role for the spine and biologics division of Medtronic. Early in her career, she was a senior financial analyst for Thomas & Betts and as an auditor for Thomas Havey. Orthofix’s previous CFO John Bostjancic, as well as other executives, were terminated for cause following “inappropriate and offensive conduct.” Geoffrey Gillespie, served as interim CFO during the company’s search to fill the seat.
Saurabh Gupta | AccentCare
AccentCare hired Saurabh Gupta as finance chief of the post-acute health care provider. Gupta was formerly chief financial officer of Envision Medical Group. Before working at Envision, he was senior vice president of financial planning and analysis for Steward Health Care, one of the nation's largest accountable care organizations. Before that, he worked in multiple finance, planning, and strategy roles at Alcon, Novartis, and American Airlines.
Tom Sansone | SoundCloud
Audio streaming service SoundCloud appointed Tom Sansone as its new CFO and chief operating officer. Sansone was previously chief financial officer of Kobalt Music Group, an independent rights management and music publishing company, for seven years, where he played a key role in its operational restructuring and sale of the businesses. He was also CFO and chief operating officer of Gilt Groupe, an off-price e-commerce portfolio company. For eight years, he led the company through a period of extraordinary growth. Earlier in his career, Sansone worked for Arthur Andersen and PricewaterhouseCoopers.
