Mark Williams, CFO of Mediware Information Systems Inc., will resign from his position, effective November 4, for another business opportunity. Williams joined the company as controller in 2004 and took over the top finance spot in 2006. A search is under way for his replacement; in the meantime, controller Robert Watkins will take on the role of principal financial and accounting officer.
Emerson Electric Co. CFO Walter Galvin has added the title of vice chairman . Galvin joined the firm in 1973 and has headed finance since 1993.
Virtualization-technology provider VirtualLogix Inc. has named Bruce Jaffe to lead the finance function. He comes to the company from LogicVision Inc., where he was CFO.
Stacy Brandom has been appointed to the top finance spot at Trinity Wall Street. Most recently, Brandom was managing adviser for Brandom Advisors LLC; before that, she was CFO and managing director at Citi Smith Barney. In her new post, she replaces Steven Duggan, who is retiring.
MEMC Electronic Materials Inc. has promoted finance head Ken Hannah to executive vice president of MEMC and president of MEMC Solar Materials. Hannah, who had been CFO since 2006, will be succeeded in that role by Tim Oliver, who joins the company from Metavante Technologies, where he was CFO.
O’Neil Nalavadi will become CFO of Innodata Isogen Inc., effective November 9. Nalavadi comes to the company, an outsourcer to media, publishing, and information-services companies, from R Systems International Ltd., where he led finance.
Keith Ruck has been named CFO of pharmaceuticals manufacturer Lannett Co. Ruck, who has been interim CFO since March, joined the company in 2008 as corporate controller. Prior to that, he was corporate controller of Optium Corp.
Information-security company SafeNet Inc. has appointed Charles Neral as head of finance. He formerly was vice president of finance for IBM’s software business.
Carl Luna has been named CFO of Copano Energy LLC. Luna, who has been at the company since 2005, has been interim CFO and senior vice president, finance and corporate development, since August. Before joining Copano Energy, Luna was a vice president in the syndicated and leveraged finance group at J.P. Morgan Securities Inc.
