Anthony Terry
Marriott Vacations Worldwide promoted Anthony Terry to chief financial officer. Terry, who was most recently senior vice president of global operational finance, joined Marriott Vacation Club International in 1996 as manager of financial accounting was quickly promoted to roles of increasing responsibility. During his tenure at the company, Terry led work associated with the company’s growth, including the spin-off of Marriott Vacations Worldwide from Marriott International in 2011 and he also supported the $4 billion acquisition of ILG in 2018. Before joining the company, Terry worked at The Walt Disney Company and Arthur Andersen.
Melissa Thomas
Melissa Thomas will take over as CFO at Cinemark on November 8. Thomas joins the movie theater chain from Groupon, where she was CFO. Before becoming CFO in 2020, Thomas held several roles at Groupon, including interim CFO, chief accounting officer and treasurer, and vice president of commercial finance. She previously held a diverse range of senior finance positions within Surgical Care Affiliates and Orbitz. Thomas began her career at PricewaterhouseCoopers in assurance and business advisory. Thomas succeeds Sean Gamble, who was promoted to president and will be named CEO on January 1 when Mark Zoradi retires.
Julie Beck
Julie Beck was named CFO of Terex. Beck will join the manufacturer as senior vice president of finance on November 1 and take over as finance chief on January 1. Beck comes from NOVA Chemicals, where she has served as CFO since February 2016. Before that, she spent eight years at Joy Global, where she was CFO of Joy Mining Machinery and global vice president of supply chain, operational excellence, and quality. In earlier roles, she was CFO of Journal Register Company, CFO and treasurer for Norwood Promotional Products, vice president of finance for Temple-Inland, and director of finance for Rockwell Automation. Beck replaces John Sheehan, who is retiring.
Bill Betz was promoted to finance chief of NXP Semiconductors. Most recently, Betz was senior vice president of business planning and analytics and finance business group controller for NXP’s business lines and shared service centers. He also led the corporate financial planning, analysis, and business intelligence teams. Before joining NXP in 2013, he held finance leadership roles at Fairchild Semiconductor, LSI Corporation, and Agere Systems. Betz replaces Peter Kelly, who is retiring.
Jeff Knudson
AMN Healthcare hired Jeffrey Knudson as chief financial officer, effective November 2. Knudson joins the company from home decor retailer At Home Group, where he was CFO and executive vice president of supply chain. Before that, he served in several leadership positions at CVS Health and CVS Caremark, including as senior vice president of finance and retail controller for their $80 billion retail pharmacy segment. He previously was a key member of the treasury and mergers and acquisition leadership teams at L Brands and Express Scripts.
CVR Energy interim CFO Dane Neumann will take on the role permanently. Neumann will also serve as executive vice president and chief financial officer of CVR Energy’s nitrogen fertilizer affiliate CVR Partners. Before taking over as interim CFO, he held several roles within the company’s finance organization, including vice president of finance, vice president of financial planning and analysis, and director of projects and controls. Before joining the company, Neumann served in roles of increasing responsibility for Andeavor and its affiliates, including as director of commercial business planning and analytics, director of financial planning and analysis for Western Refining until its acquisition by Andeavor, and corporate finance manager for the general partner of Northern Tier Energy until its acquisition by WNR.
Marita Scarfi
Software company Vouched named Marita Scarfi as chief financial officer and chief business operations officer. Scarfi previously spent five years as a CFO at emerging technology companies MeasureOne and PebblePost, where she led equity financings and scaled their financial and operational teams and structures. Earlier, Scarfi worked at Organic, where she led the company through its IPO and led the sale to a private equity company in 2002. Her roles at Organic included chief executive officer, chief financial officer, and chief operating officer.
Justin Judd was named CFO of BambooHR. Judd joins the human resources software provider from Adobe, where he was finance chief of its digital experience business unit. He joined Adobe through its acquisition of Omniture and helped build that business from less than $300 million in annual revenue to more than $3 billion a year. Judd previously led the corporate legal group at Adobe and held positions at PwC and several law firms. Judd replaces Kent Goates, who is retiring after seven years at the company.
Adam Kroll
Electric vehicle pickup truck maker Lordstown Motors appointed Adam Kroll as chief financial officer, effective October 25. Kroll has served as chief administrative officer of hydrogen-powered commercial vehicle supplier Hyzon Motors since April. He was previously interim chief financial officer for UPG Enterprises and senior vice president of finance for PSAV Holdings. Earlier in his career, he was an investment banker at JP Morgan focused on the automotive industry. Kroll replaces interim CFO Rebecca Roof, who will remain with the company in a transitional role through the end of the year.
Flower One Holdings hired Araxie Grant as the cannabis producer’s chief financial officer. Most recently, Grant was the vice president controller for the Las Vegas Raiders football team. Before that, she was chief financial officer of the arena football league. Earlier in her career, she was a financial operations supervisor at Las Vegas Sands, where she spent seven years building the company’s finance department.
