Blackstone Group has appointed Michael Chae to head finance. He succeeds Laurence Tosi, who resigned to become CFO of Airbnb. Chae joined Blackstone in 1997 and is currently a senior managing director.

Online real-estate investment properties lender AssetAvenue has named Peter Coleman to head finance. He formerly led the finance function at FuHu, Loyal3 Holdings, and Merriman Holdings.
FARO Technologies has appointed Laura Murphy to the top finance spot, effective Aug. 10. Most recently, she was vice president of finance for healthcare compliance solutions at Stericycle.
