CFOs on the Move: Week Ending July 22

David Marberger has been chosen to replace retiring finance chief John Gehring at ConAgra Foods, effective Aug. 29. Marberger currently heads finance at Prestige Brands.

Research firm Abt Associates has appointed Noel Samuel to the top finance spot. He joins the firm from immixGroup, where he was also CFO; previous roles include senior vice president of finance at Perot Systems Government Services, as well as CFO of the public sector–services business unit at Dell Computer.

Barrett Business Services has selected Gary Kramer to lead the finance function, effective Aug. 10, replacing interim CFO Tom Carley. Most recently, Kramer headed the global services unit at Chubb Global Services.

Jeffrey Buchheister has been named finance chief at Cetera Financial Group, effective Aug. 2. He comes to the company from LPL Financial, where he was chief accounting officer.

Online store CafePress has named Phillip Milliner to the top finance spot, effective Aug. 29. He succeeds Garett Jackson, who has resigned. Previously, Milliner held several posts at Churchill Downs, including vice president of finance, corporate controller, and vice president of business operations.

Cleco Corporate Holdings has promoted Terry Taylor to lead the finance function. She had been chief accounting officer, controller, and interim CFO at the holding company for electric company Cleco Power.

Education-technology firm Blackboard has promoted interim CFO Lisa Mayr to finance chief. She had been vice president of finance since 2013.

Ajay Sabherwal has been elected to head finance at FTI Consulting by the business advisory company’s board of directors. Sabherwal, who takes on his new post on Aug. 15, currently is CFO at FairPoint Communications.

Specialty-chemical provider KMG Chemicals has promoted Marcelino Rodriguez to the top finance spot. Rodriguez, who had been corporate controller and chief accounting officer, succeeds Mindy Passmore, who resigned.

Ultra Clean Holdings said president and CFO Casey Eichler will leave the company on July 29, and that senior vice president of finance and chief accounting officer Sheri Brumm will take over as finance chief the following day. Brumm joined the firm in 2009 as senior director of finance.
