Prashanth Mahendra-Rajah | Uber
Prashanth Mahendra-Rajah will take over as finance chief of Uber on Nov. 13. Mahendra-Rajah currently works at semiconductor manufacturing company Analog Devices, where he has been CFO for the last six years. Before that, he was chief financial officer of WABCO Holdings, a global supplier of commercial vehicle technologies. He previously was division CFO at Applied Materials and worked in financial leadership roles at Visa and United Technologies. Mahendra-Rajah replaces Nelson Chai, who has been CFO since 2018 and oversaw the ride-hailing company’s IPO in 2019.

Sarah Overbaugh | Metronet
Fiber-optic internet provider Metronet promoted Sarah Overbaugh to finance chief. Overbaugh joined Metronet in 2020 as senior vice president and controller and was named executive vice president of finance and accounting in April 2023. She played key roles in the company’s recent $1.9 billion asset-backed securitization bond offerings and was vital in several acquisitions. Before joining the company, Overbaugh held several senior executive positions at Payless ShoeSource in accounting and finance roles. She succeeds Lohn Weber, who has been CFO of the company since its inception in 1996. Weber will fill the newly established position of executive vice president of capital markets.
Patrick Edwards | Shoe Carnival
Patrick Edwards was promoted to CFO of Shoe Carnival. He will also hold the roles of senior vice president, secretary, and treasurer. Edwards has been the footwear retailer’s chief accounting officer and secretary since 2021 and has been vice president and controller since he joined the company in 2019. Before joining the company, he spent 18 years working at utility holding company Vectren in finance and accounting roles, including as vice president and treasurer and vice president of corporate audit. Early in his career, Edwards worked in public accounting for PricewaterhouseCoopers. Edwards replaces Erik Gast, who left the company after 5 months in the role.

Jatin Dalal | Cognizant
Cognizant appointed Jatin Dalal as the professional services company’s new CFO, effective in Dec. 2023. He joins Cognizant from Wipro, a technology services and consulting company, where he had been CFO since 2015 and assumed additional responsibilities as president beginning in December 2019. Dalal joined the company in 2002 and has held several leadership positions, including CFO of Wipro's global IT business, U.K. head of finance for the Europe region, and the global finance head for the company's energy and utilities, health care, and manufacturing business units. Dalal succeeds Jan Siegmund, who is retiring.
Ana Schrank | Invitae
Medical genetics company Invitae hired Ana Schrank as its new finance chief, effective Oct. 2. Most recently, Schrank was CFO for online pharmacy platform Truepill and before that, she was chief financial officer of health benefits platform Collective Health. Earlier in her career, she worked at healthcare services provider and pharmaceuticals distributor McKesson for more than 20 years, where she held several leadership roles, including as senior vice president and chief audit executive, CFO of a technology business unit, and head of investor relations. Schrank takes over for Robert Dickey, who has been interim CFO since August 2023 and will transition to a consulting role.

Brian Parisi | Kartoon Studios
Brian Parisi was hired as CFO of Kartoon Studios. Before joining the entertainment company, he was the chief financial officer at the entertainment production company Break the Floor Productions. Earlier, Parisi was CFO at the NFL Hall of Fame Village and he worked as senior vice president of the festivals division of Live Nation Entertainment. Parisi has also held leadership positions at Warner Bros. Entertainment and Universal Studios. Parisi succeeds Bob Denton, who is moving to a new role as the company’s executive vice president of finance and accounting.
William McCombe | Velo3D
William McCombe has resigned as CFO of 3D printing technology company Velo3D, effective Sept. 29, and will stay on in a transition capacity through Nov. 7. McCombe joined the company as CFO in 2020 from coatings manufacturer HZO, where he held the same role. The company’s vice president of finance, Bernard Chung, was named acting CFO. Before joining the company in 2020, he worked in various finance management roles in the manufacturing, transportation, and technology industries. He also previously worked as director and audit manager for KPMG.

Jeffrey Goddard | GuideWell
Insurance holding company GuideWell appointed Jeffrey Goddard as its new CFO. Goddard was most recently CFO of CVS Caremark, the pharmacy benefit manager within CVS Health. Throughout his career, he held several executive leadership roles, including interim CFO at Aetna and president and chief operating officer of Meritain Health, a self-funded insurer under the Aetna umbrella. Before that, he was CFO for Aetna's commercial businesses and specialty products. Earlier in his career, Goddard held various financial positions at Travelers Insurance and PwC. Goddard succeeds Thurman Justice, who assumed leadership of the managed care business at GuideWell subsidiary Triple-S Management earlier this year.
