Claire McDonough | GE Vernova
GE Vernova appointed Claire McDonough as the energy firm’s new CFO. McDonough will join the company in November before taking over as finance chief on Jan. 1, 2027. McDonough is currently chief financial officer of electric vehicle maker Rivian, and will step down on Oct. 30. Before joining Rivian as CFO in 2021, she was a managing director in investment banking and co-head of the disruptive commerce group at J.P. Morgan. Before that, she held financial leadership positions at Fairway Market and Credit Suisse. McDonough succeeds Ken Parks, who is retiring. Parks will transition into a strategic adviser role in the first quarter of 2027 and retire in April.
Jill Pemberton | RaceTrac
RaceTrac named Jill Pemberton as its new finance chief. Pemberton joins the convenience store chain from luxury products group LVMH Moët Hennessy Louis Vuitton, where she was most recently chief financial officer for its $20 billion North America region. Before joining LVMH in July 2020, she was senior vice president of corporate FP&A at Viacom. She earlier held senior finance roles at Johnson & Johnson, H.J. Heinz and Delta Air Lines. Pemberton succeeds Karla Ahlert, who was named RaceTrac’s first chief administrative officer.
Ash Bhumbla | Hormel Foods
Hormel Foods named Ash Bhumbla as executive vice president and chief financial officer, effective Sept. 8. Bhumbla joins the company from Tyson Foods, where he has been CFO of its chicken segment since 2023. Before that, he held senior finance and corporate development leadership roles at Perdue Farms and International Flavors & Fragrances. Bhumbla replaces Paul Kuehneman, who has been interim CFO since October 2025. Kuehneman joined the company in 1993 and held several accountant and controller roles throughout his tenure. He will remain a key senior leader within the finance team.
Robert Kleczynski | Exelon
Robert Kleczynski was named chief financial officer of Exelon, effective Oct. 5. Kleczynski has worked at the U.S. utility company for over 24 years, most recently as senior vice president, corporate controller and head of tax. Kleczynski succeeds Jeanne Jones, who joined Exelon in 2007 and has been finance chief since 2022. She will assume the role of executive vice president of finance and strategy.
Benjamin Branstetter | Targa Resources
Benjamin Branstetter was promoted to chief financial officer of Targa Resources. Branstetter joined the natural gas firm in April 2017 and was named president of logistics and transportation in March. Before joining Targa, he previously held roles in investment banking, corporate strategy and risk management. Branstetter succeeds William Byers, who is retiring. Byers has worked in the energy industry for three decades and has been CFO of Targa for the last two years. Byers will transition to an advisory role through year-end.
Robert Garechana | Sun Communities
Robert Garechana will take over as CFO of real estate investment trust Sun Communities on Sept. 8. Garechana joins the company from multifamily REIT Equity Residential, where he has worked since 2004, most recently as EVP and chief investment officer. Before that, he was Equity Residential’s CFO and a member of its executive and investment committees. Garechana succeeds Fernando Castro-Caratini, who will transition to an advisory role. Castro-Caratini joined the company in 2016 and has been EVP and CFO since May 2022.
Sean Piche | CuriosityStream
Media company CuriosityStream hired Sean Piche as its new chief financial officer, effective Sept. 1. Piche was most recently a fractional CFO with soccer-focused media company Men In Blazers Media Network, according to his LinkedIn profile. He previously was a partner and global media and entertainment co-leader at accounting and business advisory firm CFGI and spent nearly a decade as a partner in Ernst & Young's financial accounting advisory services practice. Piche succeeds Brady Hayden, who is leaving the company. Hayden joined CuriosityStream in 2023 as corporate controller and took over as finance chief in 2024.
Ruba Minhas | Washington Spirit
Ruba Minhas was promoted to finance chief of U.S. professional women's soccer team the Washington Spirit. Minhas joined the club in November 2024 as vice president of finance. Before joining the Washington Spirit, she spent over a decade in senior finance positions across the sports and entertainment industry, including as vice president of FP&A at UBS Arena, director of finance at The Madison Square Garden Company and manager of finance at Broadridge Financial Solutions.
Kristen Young | Tekmetric
Auto repair software firm Tekmetric named Kristen Young as its first CFO. Young joins the auto repair software firm from AI writing assistance company Grammarly, where she was head of FP&A. She previously worked at the enterprise software company Pivotal as senior director of corporate finance, and before that, she spent nearly five years at SurveyMonkey across M&A, business development and business operations. She started her career in investment banking at J.P. Morgan and in corporate finance and M&A at Booking.com.
Tamara Kravec | Acturion
Tamara Kravec was appointed CFO and chief operating officer of insurance and asset management firm Acturion. Kravec was most recently finance chief and chief risk officer of M Financial Group, a financial services design and distribution company. Before that, she was chief financial officer of Nationwide Financial’s annuity division, and she earlier held senior finance leadership roles at American Equity Investment Life Holding Company. Earlier in her career, she was a partner and managing director at NWQ Investment Management and held senior equity research roles at Banc of America Securities, Morgan Stanley and Credit Suisse First Boston.
