Alan Ellingson | DraftKings
Alan Ellingson, DraftKings’ senior vice president of finance and analytics, will take over as finance chief of the sports betting company on May 1. Ellingson joined DraftKings in 2020 as vice president of FP&A and has held his current position since January 2023. He previously worked at Iron Mountain, a storage and information management services provider, for more than seven years and was most recently vice president of finance and global operations support. Ellingson succeeds Jason Park, who will take on the new role of chief transformation officer. Park was named CFO in 2019 and oversaw the company’s transition to the public markets.
Charles Boynton | Logitech
Logitech CFO Charles Boynton is leaving the company after less than a year in the role. Boynton will leave the computer accessories maker in mid-May to take the same position at solar tracker and software solutions provider Nextracker. Before Logitech, Boynton held the CFO seat at Plantronics, the Bluetooth earpiece and gaming headsets maker, and SunPower, a provider of solar power solutions. Earlier in his career, he was CEO and chair of 8point3 General Partner, an owner/operator of solar energy generation projects.
Ana Maria Chadwick | Insulet
Medical device company Insulet hired Ana Maria Chadwick as CFO, effective April 22. For the last three years, Chadwick has been CFO of the shipping and mailing company Pitney Bowes. She previously worked at GE for more than 27 years, where she held a variety of financial and operational roles, including CEO and COO of GE Capital Global Legacy Solutions and CFO of GE Capital Energy Financial Services. She also served as controller of GE Capital Americas. Chadwick replaces Lauren Budden, who has been Insulet’s interim CFO and treasurer. Budden will continue in her role as group vice president, chief accounting officer, and controller.
Allen Parker | Varo Bank
Varo Bank appointed Allen Parker as its new finance chief. Parker has over 35 years of operational finance experience and most recently spent four years as chief financial officer of real estate tech company Zillow. Before Zillow, he worked for 13 years at Amazon, his last position as vice president of finance for Amazon’s devices and app store businesses worldwide. Earlier in his career, he was CFO of HVAC systems manufacturer Trane Residential Systems and held roles at GE.
Thomas Song | Cineworld Group
Thomas Song joined movie theater chain Cineworld Group as its new CFO last December. Song most recently CFO of global hotel management company Aimbridge Hospitality. Before Aimbridge, he was CFO for Dine Brands Global, a full-service dining company and franchisor. He was previously senior vice president of corporate development and innovation at Choice Hotels International and was the head of corporate development and strategy for the Hanover Insurance Group.
Hadley Peer Marshall | Brookfield Asset Management
Hadley Peer Marshall was promoted to finance chief of Brookfield Asset Management. Peer Marshall joined Brookfield in 2015 to co-head its infrastructure debt and structured solutions group. She will continue in her role in infrastructure in addition to her new responsibilities as CFO. Before Brookfield, she worked at Goldman Sachs, where she was co-head of the project finance and infrastructure group. Peer Marshall replaces Bahir Manios, who is retiring.
Darien Wright | National Geographic Society
National Geographic Society appointed Darien Wright as the nonprofit's CFO and chief operating officer, effective March 28. Wright was most recently chief operating officer of Brookwood Hotels, a Brookfield Asset Management-owned portfolio company. Before that, Wright was an executive at Marriott International for nearly 12 years, holding leadership positions in FP&A, corporate finance, and development asset management. Wright began his career at Accenture and Coopers & Lybrand.
Mark Ortiz | dLocal
Uruguayan cross-border payment platform dLocal hired Mark Ortiz as chief financial officer. Ortiz brings more than 30 years of international financial and operational management experience, primarily within General Electric’s umbrella companies. His positions included global FP&A leader for GE Capital, CFO for the industrial finance and energy financial services businesses, and global controller for GE Capital’s real estate and equipment leasing and lending platforms. Ortiz replaces outgoing CFO Diego Cabrera Canay, who has been in the role since 2020.
