Vandana Sriram | Quanterix

Life science developer Quanterix announced Vandana Sriram as its new finance chief, effective August 21. Sriram replaces Michael Doyle, who has been with the company since July 2021. Doyle will transition to the executive director of finance role until he retires in March next year. Most recently, Sriram held the senior vice president of global finance role at Azenta Life Sciences. She also spent 20 years in finance at GE, including as CFO of GE additive and global controller of GE aviation.
Vaibhav Taneja | Tesla

Auto manufacturer and technology company Tesla has replaced its CFO after Zach Kirkhorn stepped down earlier this week. Vaibhav Taneja, who previously held the chief accounting officer role, was named CFO on Monday. Kirkhorn climbed the ladder to CFO over a decade at the company. Taneja is also a tenured Tesla employee, having joined the company in 2017 after leaving Solar City.
Craig Fischer | Washington Commanders

The most recent NFL franchise to undergo a change of ownership, the Washington Commanders, have made their first executive hire as an ownership group. They brought on Craig Fischer as CFO. Fischer has been working unannounced since the regime change occurred in late July. His appointment was announced on Wednesday. Fischer previously held the CFO role at Spanish language media company Hemisphere Media Group, with previous leadership positions at InterMedia Partners and the YES Network.
Michael Ellis | Flywire

Global payments company Flywire announced they will mutually part ways with their current finance chief next year. Michael Ellis, who has been with the company since 2015, will stay during the transition. Previously, Ellis worked at gift card provider Cashstar as finance chief, and as controller of the Massachusetts Port Authority. Ellis took Flywire public in 2021. The company and Ellis “have come to a mutual understanding that the next phase of growth for Flywire needs new leadership in the finance, global treasury & public markets area,” a spokesperson for Flywire said.
Sunnil Mathew | Occidental Petroleum (Oxy)

Occidental Petroleum, known as Oxy, has appointed one of its long-time finance directors to the CFO spot. Sunil Mathew, who has been with the oil and gas producer for nearly 20 years, is getting promoted from his current role of director of corporate planning. This is Mathew’s first CFO role. This is the second CFO the company has brought on in three years, after previous CFO changes were rooted in disagreements between executives and billionaire investor Carl Icahn.
Brian Scott | Jack in the Box

Fast food restaurant Jack in the Box named a new CFO, hiring health care veteran Brian Scott for a start date of August 14. Most recently, Scott was the finance chief at Shiftkey, a health care marketplace platform. He also held CFO roles at home-care services payments provider TheKey and served 10 years as CFO of AMN Healthcare. Scott is the fourth person to be the finance lead at Jack in the Box since Jerry Rebel’s retirement in January 2018. Dawn Hooper, who served as interim CFO for the past eight months, will assume her previous role as senior vice president and controller. In the release announcing Scott’s appointment, Hooper was named a new Jack in the Box executive leadership team member.
Jade Barnwell | Laser Photonics

Laser Phononics, a global laser technology developer, has announced Jade Barnwell as its new CFO. Barnwell, an FP&A veteran, most recently held a consultant position at Digicomm International. She has also held FP&A-related positions at Plansource and Mitsubishi Power Americas.
Brian DeCenzo | Inxeption

Industrial commerce provider Inexption has brought on Goldman Sachs veteran and first-time CFO Brian DeCenzo as finance chief. DeCenzo has been at Goldman for almost 20 years, most recently as managing director of investment banking. He previously held roles as chief of staff to president & COO and head of executive office for the private client strategy group. He was also a vice president of TMT (tech, media & telecom) structured finance. He replaces Amir Ameri, who held the Inexption role for just over a year.
