Patrick McClymont has been named to the top finance spot at Sotheby’s, effective October 7. He takes over from William Sheridan, who is leaving the company but will stay on until year-end to aid in the transition. McClymont comes to the auction house from Goldman, Sachs & Co., where he was a managing director and partner in the investment banking division.
Hertz Global Holdings has said that finance chief Elyse Douglas is resigning her post as of October 1, but will remain at the firm until the end of the year. David Rosenberg, CFO of Hertz International Ltd., will become interim CFO until a permanent replacement for Douglas is found.
CFO James Keegan is retiring from entertainment company Lionsgate effective October 1 but will serve as a consultant until January 3, 2014. He will be succeeded by James Barge, who headed finance at Viacom Inc. from 2010 until last year.
Christopher Peterson will become chief administrative officer at Ralph Lauren on November 1. He will also remain CFO, a post he has held since September.
Transportation firm Norfolk Southern has appointed Marta Stewart finance chief, effective November 1. She takes over from John Rathbone, who is retiring on that date. Stewart has been at the company since 1983, most recently as treasurer.
Craig Spray has been selected to head finance at furniture and textile manufacturer Knoll. He replaces Barry McCabe, who announced in April that he would retire, and who will become executive vice president to aid in the transition. Formerly, Spray held the top finance spot at MasterBrand Cabinets.
Western Digital has announced that Wolfgang Nickl, who has led the finance function since 2010, has resigned effective November 17 to become CFO of ASML Holding NV, in the Netherlands. A search for his replacement is under way.
John Coletta has been named finance chief at Einstein Noah Restaurant Group, effective October 21. He succeeds Manny Hilario, who was named chief operations officer in July. Coletta now heads finance at Quiznos.
Carlson has named Brad Hall CFO and treasurer. He has been interim CFO of the travel and hospitality firm since last August.
Customer-relationship marketing company Merkle has appointed Jean Holder to the top finance spot. Previously, she was senior vice president of operations at Quintiles.
