Time Warner Inc. has named Howard Averill to the top finance spot, effective January 1, 2014. He replaces John Martin, who will become CEO of Turner Broadcasting System Inc. Averill is now CFO of Time Inc.
Grocer Supervalu Inc. has appointed Bruce Besanko to lead the finance function, effective August 7. He succeeds Sherry Smith, who announced earlier this year that she would be leaving the company. Previously, Besanko was CFO, executive vice president of finance and chief administrative officer at OfficeMax.
Mark Guinan has been appointed CFO of Quest Diagnostics Inc. Most recently, he headed finance at Hill-Rom Holdings Inc.
Sandeep Reddy has been promoted to finance chief at Guess Inc. Formerly, he was CFO of the company’s Europe finance team, a post he had held since 2010.
Align Technology Inc. has selected David White to lead the finance function. He has been CFO of several other companies, including Enecsys Ltd., Nvidia Corp. and Sanmina-SCI Corp.
Restaurant franchisor Johnny Rockets has named Gary Campanaro to the top finance spot. He is a former CFO of El Pollo Loco and of Claim Jumper.
FreightCar America Inc. has named Charles Avery Jr. CFO, vice president finance and treasurer, effective August 1. He takes over for Joseph McNeely, who was promoted to president and chief operating officer. Previously, Avery was corporate controller and chief information officer at Federal Signal Corp.
Peter Perrone has been named to head finance at Limelight Networks Inc., succeeding Douglas Lindroth. Perrone, a member of the company’s board of directors, will resign from that role as he joins Limelight as senior vice president on August 19; he will become CFO after a short period of transition. Formerly, he was managing director within the merchant banking division of Goldman Sachs.
Planet Fitness has chosen Dorvin Lively to lead the finance function. Most recently, he was CFO and chief administrative officer of RadioShack Corp.; before that, he was CFO of Ace Hardware Corp.
