Title-insurance provider First American Financial Corp. has promoted Mark Seaton to lead the finance function. He succeeds Max Valdes, who is retiring but will stay on at the company until next March to aid in the transition. Seaton has been at First American since 2006 and most recently was senior vice president of finance.
Pamela Craig is stepping down as finance chief of Accenture, effective July 1, and will retire from the firm on August 31. Senior vice president-finance David Rowland will take over as CFO as of July 1.
PPG Industries has named Frank Sklarsky executive vice president, finance, effective April 15, and he will become CFO on August 1. He joins the specialty-products and coatings firm from Tyco International Ltd., where he also headed finance.
Bradley Melnick has been promoted to finance chief at NBC Entertainment. Melnick, who started at NBCUniversal in 1998, had been CFO of NBC Entertainment’s West Coast Television Group.
H. MacGregor Clarke has been named to the top finance spot at Johns Manville, a manufacturer of building products. He succeeds Mary Rhinehart, who was promoted to president and CEO in November. Formerly, Clarke headed finance at AeroGrow International Inc.
Health-care-products provider Natus Medical Inc. has named Jonathan Kennedy as its next CFO. Most recently, he was CFO at Intersil Corp.
Digital First Media has appointed Barbara Bennett to lead the finance function. Bennett, who has been CFO of the Environmental Protection Agency since 2009, is also a former finance chief of Discovery Communications.
James Brown has been named to the top finance spot at Hancock Fabrics Inc. Previously, he was senior vice president, finance, at Fred’s Inc., an operator of discount general-merchandise stores.
