Barnes & Noble Inc. has named Michael Huseby to lead the finance function. Formerly, he was CFO of Cablevision Systems Corp.
Investment-management company Eaton Vance Corp. has promoted Laurie Hylton to the top finance spot. She takes over from Robert Whelan, who has resigned. Hylton had been chief accounting officer since 1997.
Fluor Corp. has announced that finance chief D. Michael Steuert will retire in May, but stay on through year’s end as a consultant. He will be replaced by Biggs Porter, who will join the engineering and design firm on April 9 and become CFO on May 4. Porter is currently CFO of Tenet Healthcare Corp.
George Carrara has been named CFO and COO of Liz Claiborne Inc., effective April 2. He joins the company from Tommy Hilfiger North America, where he was COO.
Khanh Tran, CFO and chief investment officer of Pacific Life Insurance Co., has been promoted to president, effective April 1. He will be replaced as CFO by senior vice president Adrian Griggs.
Real estate developer The St. Joe Co. has named Thomas Hoyer to the top finance spot. He succeeds Janna Connolly, who has resigned. Previously, Hoyer was CFO and treasurer at eDiets.com Inc.
Teleflex Inc. has promoted Thomas Powell to be its next finance chief. He replaces Richard Meier, whose employment at the medical-device supplier ended last week. Powell had been senior vice president, global finance.
John Kozak plans to retire as head of finance at Park National Corp. in April of next year. Chief accounting officer Brady Burt will become CFO of the holding company at that time.
PolyOne Corp. has named Richard Diemer Jr. to lead the finance function. He takes over from Robert Patterson, who has been promoted to chief operating officer at the polymer supplier. Diemer is a former CFO of Styron LLC and of Albemarle Corp.
David Moskowitz has been named the first CFO of Unigene Laboratories Inc. Previously, he was a senior pharmaceutical analyst at Roth Capital Partners LLC.
