Sunoco Inc. has promoted CFO Brian MacDonald to the posts of president and CEO, effective March 1. In those roles, he replaces Lynn Elsenhans, who will remain chairman of Sunoco Inc. and Sunoco Logistics Partners LP until the company’s annual meeting in May. MacDonald will replace her in those positions at that time.
Lewis Booth plans to retire as head of finance at Ford Motor Co. on April 1 after more than 30 years at the company in various posts. He will be succeeded by controller Bob Shanks.
Internet-business operator IAC has appointed Jeff Kip to the top finance spot. He takes over from Thomas McInerney, who said last summer that he would leave the company. Kip is currently CFO of Panera Bread, and will officially leave that company in March.
Walter Berger has been named CFO of SoftLayer Technologies Inc., effective next month. He most recently headed finance at Leap Wireless International Inc.; before that, he was CFO of CBS Radio.
Palo Alto Networks has named Steffan Tomlinson as its next finance chief. He succeeds Michael Lehman, who has been CFO of the network-security firm since 2010. Tomlinson held the top finance spot at Aruba Networks from 2005 until last year.
Temple Weiss has been appointed to lead the finance function at ACE Cash Express Inc. He takes over for Douglas Lindsay, who has been promoted to COO. Formerly, Weiss was CFO of La Quinta Inns & Suites.
Polycom Inc. has appointed Eric Brown CFO and COO, effective February 21. As CFO, he replaces Michael Kourey, who is retiring. Previously, Brown was finance chief at Electronic Arts.
Ascension Health has named Katherine Arbuckle to head finance. Most recently, she was CFO of Bon Secours Health System Inc., a post she had held since 2006.
Jeff Winzeler has been named to lead the finance function at Rackwise Inc. He joins the software developer from Solar Power Inc., where he also was CFO.
Employee assessment and hiring system developer Select International has appointed John Roppo to the top finance spot. Previously, he headed finance at Tegrant Corp., Tangent Rail, and Roadside Telematics.
