CFOs on the Move: Week Ending December 30

Anil Amlani will become head of finance at ultrasound manufacturer SonoSite Inc., effective January 2. He succeeds Marcus Smith, who has resigned as CFO and treasurer, also effective January 2. Amlani is now president and CEO of SonoSite subsidiary VisualSonics.

Online real estate company Move Inc. has named Rachel Glaser to the top finance spot, effective January 4. She joins the firm from MyLife.com, where she was chief operating officer and CFO.

CFO and executive vice president-finance Scott Doescher plans to resign from Wausau Paper Corp., effective February 28. The firm plans to start a search for his replacement after the new year.

Simpson Manufacturing Co. has named Brian Magstadt to lead the finance function, effective January 1. He takes over from Karen Colonias, who was previously named president and CEO, also effective January 1. Magstadt joined the company in 2004 and has been financial reporting manager since 2008.

Mark Biggers has been selected to be the next finance chief at Victory Energy Corp. Previously, he was a senior director in the energy practice at Alvarez & Marsal.
