Treasurer Jonathan Clark has been promoted to lead the finance function at SLM Corp. (Sallie Mae). He joined the company as senior vice president of corporate finance in 2008.

Chris Power has been named finance chief at identity-theft-protection company LifeLock Inc. Most recently, he was chief operating officer and CFO at NetQuote Inc.; he has also served as CFO at Monster Worldwide, Salary.com, and Nortel Networks.

Steve Schoch is the new head of finance at Miramax. Previously, he worked at Amgen, where he was vice president global commercial operations financial planning & analysis.

Southwest Research Institute has promoted Beth Rafferty to the posts of CFO and vice president-finance. She succeeds John Sprencel, who has retired. Rafferty, who was treasurer, has been at the applied research and development organization since 1991.

Mobile marketing technology provider CommerceTel Corp. has appointed Paul Meyer to lead the finance function. He is a former president and chief operating officer of Shuffle Master Inc.

Evergreen Solar Inc. has named Donald Reilly to the top finance spot. He takes over from Paul Kawa, who has been interim CFO since Michael El-Hillow was promoted to president and CEO in September, and who will return to his former job as corporate controller. Reilly joins the firm from GTECH Corp., where he also was CFO.

Coffee and extracts manufacturer Autocrat Inc. has appointed Ann Malinowski to be its first CFO. Previously, she headed finance at Micronotes Inc.

CallMiner Inc. has named Bob Orlando finance chief. He comes to the enterprise speech-analytics company from Camiant, where he was CFO and treasurer.

Michael Smith has resigned as head of finance at Cobra Electronics Corp., effective January 31. Bob Ben, corporate controller at the marketer and designer of navigation and communication products, will take on the role of interim CFO while a search is under way for Smith’s replacement.

Data-center provider CoreSite Realty Corp. has appointed Jeff Finnin CFO. Most recently, he was chief accounting officer and managing director of ProLogis.
