CFOs on the Move: Week Ending October 29

Patrick Dupuis has been named to lead the finance function at PayPal. Most recently, he was global CFO at Sitel.

Douglas Jeffries is the new finance chief at Taleo Corp. He joins the firm from Palm Inc., where he also served as CFO.

Kroll has appointed Donald Buzinkai to head finance. He comes to the risk consultancy from Kaydon Corp., where he was controller and chief accounting officer.

CFO, treasurer, and chief business officer Ronald Renaud Jr. has been promoted to president and CEO of Idenix Pharmaceuticals Inc., replacing Jean-Pierre Sommadossi, who has resigned. Renaud is a former CFO of Keryx Biopharmaceuticals.

Mining company Spectral Capital Corp. has named Stephen Spalding CFO and director. He is a founding partner of the Information Risk Management Practices division of KPMG and was also a partner at the company’s Strategic Services & Enabling Technology practice.

William Spengler has resigned as finance chief at Smith & Wesson Holding Corp., effective November 12. John Dineen, vice president of finance of the firearm division, will take over as interim CFO until a permanent replacement for Spengler is found.

CarMax Inc. has promoted Tom Reedy to the top finance spot. He succeeds Keith Browning, who will stay on at the used-car retailer as executive vice president, finance. Reedy, who joined the company in 2003, most recently was senior vice president, finance.

Clay Whitson has been appointed to head finance at advertising firm edo Interactive Inc. He is a former CFO and director of iPayment Inc.
