• Mobile products company Palm Inc. has named Douglas Jeffries CFO to replace Andy Brown, who will leave in January. Jeffries was formerly CFO of Pacific Ethanol Inc., a corn-based fuel maker, and chief accounting officer for eBay.
• Candy-maker Cadbury PLC has hired former Bristol-Myers Squibb CFO Andrew Bonfield to take over the finance chief role when Ken Hanna retires in April 2009. Bonfield headed finance for the international pharmaceutical for eight years. He previously was executive director of finance at BG Group and CFO at SmithKline Beecham.
• Craig Brown announced he will retire as CFO of document-services company Standard Register in March 2009. Moving up to replace him will be Robert Ginnan. Brown has been with Standard Register since 1986 and been CFO since 1995.
• Karen Roscher will leave her position as CFO of Conexant to pursue other opportunities, the company announced. Jean Hu, currently vice president of strategy and business development, will replace her.
• The Canadian fuel cell maker Ballard Power announced that CFO David Smith will resign January 30 to join Finning International. While Ballard searches for a permanent finance chief, corporate controller Jay Murray will fill the role on an acting basis.
• Scott Dussault has been appointed chief financial officer of the on-demand ecommerce company Demandware. Dussault was CFO at Archivas until it was acquired by Hitachi Data Systems in February 2007. He was also CFO of Astra Tech, a subsidiary of Astra Zeneca.
• Fomex International, which produces polyurethane foam-based solutions and specialty comfort products, has named Harold Earley as its executive vice president and CFO. Earley comes from Sonitrol Corporation, where he also headed finance. From 2002 to 2006 he served as CFO of Celetronix International.
• The spinal implant manufacturer Globus Medical appointed Wendy DiCicco as its new head of finance. DiCicco comes from a 10-year stint at Kensey Nash Corp., where she was CFO.
• Scientific Learning Corporation has announced Robert Feller as its new CFO. Feller’s most recent position was vice president of finance and administration at AdBrite, an Internet-based advertising marketplace.
• Greg Sadler will serve as CFO of the global technology company WBS Connect. Sadler most recently ran finance for WiMax International and has also done so at UIH Latim America, VeloCom, and Ricochet Networks.
• NovaRay Medical has appointed Will Frederick as CFO. He arrives from Pharsight, where he had the same job, as he also did previously at Versata.
• Alan Rutherford, the CFO of Crown Holdings, announced his retirement effective immediately. He will retire from his position as executive vice president in March but will continue on as vice chairman directors and. His replacement is Timothy Donahue, formerly senior vice president of finance, who joined the company in 1990.
