- He’s Electric: Electronics Boutique Holdings Corp., a West Chester, Pa.-based consumer-electronics retailer, announced that it named James Smith CFO, replacing John Panichello who has been promoted to the post of COO. The company also announced that Jeffrey Griffiths was named president and chief executive. He succeeds Joseph Firestone, who is retiring.
- Losing Steam: Energy services firm Cleco Corp., based in Pineville, La., said Thomas Howlin has resigned effective immediately. The company did not give a reason for the resignation. Treasurer Kathleen Nolen will handle the duties of the CFO until a new one is named, said CEO David Eppler in a statement.
- Entering Entrada: San Diego-based data exchange provider, Entrada Networks Inc., named David Patterson to the CFO post, which was vacant for several months. Entrada makes data- transfer technology.
- Camera Ready: Cambridge, Mass.-based instant-camera maker Polaroid Corp. said yesterday that it named William Flaherty CFO. Flaherty joins Polaroid from digial-imaging firm Avid Technology Inc., where he was CFO. He takes over the reins from acting CFO Carl Lueders. Lueders, who stepped into the post in January when then-CFO Judith Boynton resigned, was named VP of finance.
