- Mark W. Sopp has reached Mt. Olympus as Titan Corp.‘s new CFO. Sopp had previously served as VP and CFO of Titan Systems, the San Diego-based information-technology services company’s government IT subsidiary. In the same announcement, Titan also said it promoted EVP Eric M. DeMarco to the post of COO.
- Sovereign’s Hero: Sovereign Bancorp Inc., parent company of Sovereign Bank, appointed James Hogan as CFO. Hogan most recently served as EVP of finance and accounting at Firstar Corp., a bank holding company. He replaces Dennis Marlo, who was named as Wyomissing, Penn.-based Sovereign’s chief risk management officer.
- Joe Dwyer is getting thrown into the fire at his new gig as CFO of Caminus Corp. He was named CFO of the New York-based software maker to the energy markets. He succeeds Mark Herman, who left to pursue other opportunities.
- Here’s the Plan: Webplan Corp., a provider of E-business solutions for manufacturers, announced that John J. Laskey joined the company as CFO. Before joining the Newport Beach, Calif.- based company, Laskey served as CFO and VP of finance for Quest Software, a provider of application management solutions.
- Back to the Future: FutureLink Corp., a Lake Forest, Calif.- based infrastructure company, appointed Eugene L. “Gene” Froelich as the company’s EVP and CFO. Prior to joining FutureLink, Froelich was the COO and CFO at Wizshop.com, an Internet shopping service that was acquired this month by Semotus Solutions Inc.. Froelich replaces Rick White, who is returning to his previous job as SVP of corporate administration.
- A Recruit of Their Own: Salary.com, a provider of Web- based recruitment and employee valuation products, announced the appointment of Richard J. Cellini as CFO. Prior to joining Wellesley, Mass.-based Salary.com, Cellini was principal at venture firm 100x Ventures Inc.
- At the Head of the Line: Internet service provider Juno Online Services Inc. promoted SVP Harshan Bhangdia to CFO. Bhangdia, who joined the company in 1999, has served as acting CFO since March 1. He replaced Rick Eaton who resigned from the New York-based company in December.
- Paul Lehmann is heading out to serve as CFO of Racine, Wis.- based Johnson Outdoors Inc., a maker of outdoor recreation products, effective May 7. Lehmann most recently served as VP of finance and strategic planning with Steelcase North America, a unit of Steelcase Inc.
