- Potomac Power:
Potomac Electric Power Co. named Andrew Williams as its SVP and CFO, effective January 1. The Washington-based utility company said that Williams, currently group VP of transmission and marketing, will succeed Dennis Wraase, who had served as president and CFO since earlier this year. Wraase was promoted to COO and president. The company also noted John Derrick will continue as chairman and CEO. In 1999, Derrick earned $516,667 in annual salary, $191,732, in bonus, and $70,422 in other compensation. In 1999, Williams earned $225,000 in annual salary, $63,108 in bonus, and $24,556 in other compensation. In 1999, Wraase earned $335,000 in annual salary, $124,317 in bonus and $32,355 in other compensation.
- The Big Chill: Winter Park, Fla.- based, Stratcomm Media, Ltd., a provider of financial publishing and marketing services, announced the resignation of its president and CFO, John Chappuy. Chappuy will continue to assist in the restructuring of the company until his departure in February. No word yet on who will replace him.
- System Overload:
Deltek Systems, Inc., a business software, solutions and consulting company, announced the resignation of David Spilman, CFO and SVP of finance and administration. Spilman left the McLean, Ca.-based company to pursue other interests. Lori Becker, Deltek’s International Controller, will serve as acting CFO until further notice. Since joining Deltek nine years ago, Ms. Becker has held various consulting and management positions throughout the company.
