- “Gentleman, Start Your Engine.” We’re talking to Aurelian Bukatko, who’s been named executive VP and CFO of Oxford Automotive Inc., a Tier 1 OEM automotive supplier. Bukatko joins the Troy, Mich.-based company from Hayes-Lemmerz International, a manufacturer of steel and aluminum parts for automakers. He served as corporate treasurer there.
- Gail Babitt is visualizing success at Visual Data Corp. She’s the new CFO of the Pompano Beach, Fla.-based provider of audio and video content for the Internet. She replaces Pauline Schneider, who is relocating with her family, out of Florida. Babitt joins Visual Data from Norwegian Windows-based delivery and services provider TeleComputing Inc., where she was VP of finance and corporate controller.
- Andrea Bielsker is about to see the light. The VP of finance and treasurer of Kansas City Power & Light will add CFO to her list of titles on January 1. She succeeds Marcus Jackson, who will keep his gigs as executive VP and president of the power generation unit.
- Glenn S. Boehnlein is ready for prime time. He’s the new CFO of all-band online media network MyPrimeTime Inc. He joins the San Francisco-based company from Arthur Andersen LLP, where he was a partner. He’s the company’s first finance chief.
- In the Beginning There Was…John Delea as CFO of NetGenesis Corp. Delea left the Cambridge, Mass.-based provider of online customer intelligence solutions in October to become CFO of Quantum Bridge Communications. NetGenesis today announced the appointment of Delea’s successor, Christopher Hanson, who takes the roles of CFO, SVP of finance and administration, and treasurer. Hanson joins NetGenesis from Saville Systems, which was acquired by ADC Telecom in October 1999. He was CFO at Saville.
- Garner-ing Respect: Network Computing Devices Inc. said it named Michael A. Garner to the CFO post. Garner joins the Mountain View, Calif.-based supplier of information-access products from consulting firm Tatum CFO Partners LLP. He succeeds Gregory S. Wood, who left to join Santa Clara, Calif.-based InterTrust Technologies Corp. as CFO. InterTrust makes digital rights management software.
- Hugs and kisses go out to Wayne Rehberger, the new CFO of high-speed telecommunications provider XO Comunications Inc., formerly known as Nextlink Communications Inc. The former SVP of finance at MCI WorldCom Inc. joined the Reston, Virginia-based company in August as SVP of finance and spent the ensuing time preparing for the transition. He succeeds Mark Gunning, who left to pursue other interests.
- Craig Gentner is retiring from his CFO post at networking company Redback Networks because of family medical issues. He will remain in the post through the first quarter of 2001. The Sunnyvale, Calif.-based company said it will make a contribution to the National Organization of Rare Disorders in support of the Gertner family.
- Don Townsend will be calling forth his best finance experience as the new CFO of Evoke Software Corp. Townsend joins the San Francisco-based e-business software firm from Ferrostaal, a subsidiary of German company MAN Group AG.
- David Thompson has been entrusted with the CFO spot at TrinTel Communications Inc., a privately-held built-to-suit tower company. The former CFO of Plano, Tex.-based security software maker Entrust Technologies Inc. will be replaced for now by David Wagner, interim CFO.
