- A Convenient Choice: Kozmo , a New York-based online home- delivery service, announced that Tom McIntyre has been named SVP and CFO. McIntyre is the former executive VP and CFO of BMG Entertainment, a division of Bertelsmann A.G. McIntyre succeeds Gerry Burdo, who was promoted to president and CEO in July 2000.
- They’re Leaving the Coop: Computer software and hardware retailer Egghead.com said CFO John Labbett is leaving to “pursue a new opportunity closer to his home in Los Angeles.” The Menlo Park, Calif.-based firm named Mark C. Shepherd to replace Labbett as CFO. Shepherd most recently served as managing partner and CFO of 54th Street Partners, a consulting firm that he co- founded. Egghead.com also appointed Eileen Charlton to the post of VP of finance. Shares of Egghead, which have fallen 93 percent over the past year, fell 3 U.S. cents to 66 cents on news of the executive departures.
- Crowned CFO: Tiara Networks, a San Jose, Calif.-based networking firm, named Scott Kamsler as its new CFO. Before joining Tiara, Kamsler assisted portal provider Viador Inc. with its IPO. Prior to that, he was SVP of finance and CFO of Symmetricom Inc.
- Management and technology consulting company Endymion Systems Inc. will be consulting Scott Arey for all things financial. Arey has been named SVP of finance and CFO of the Oakland, Calif.-based firm. Most recently, Arey held the position of CFO for Gobosh Inc., a Web-development and systems-integration consultancy. Before his work at Gobosh, Arey held CFO positions at such companies as Golden State International and Bank of America Corp., where he served as VP and CFO of the bank’s international trade banking division.
- Making the Connection: Sigma Networks, a provider of broadband services, announced that Michael A. Depatie has joined the company as CFO. Prior to joining Washington, D.C.-based firm, Depatie served as CFO of now-defunct AllAdvantage.com, which was auctioned in February. He also previously served as CFO of Sunterra Corp., a vacation ownership resort developer and operator.
