- Bedding and bath home furnishings manufacturer Pillowtex Corp. just touched up their executive team with the addition of Michael R. Harmon as CFO. Harmon joins the Dallas, Tex.-based company from Galey & Lord Inc., a Greensboro, N.C. textile manufacturer, where he served as EVP and CFO. Pillowtex has also named Henry T. Pollock as VP and treasurer, filling the vacancy created by the resignation of Jaime Vasquez in March. Pollock previously served as an independent consultant to Pillowtex.
- It seems only natural that Dayville, Conn.-based United Natural Foods Inc., appointed Todd WeintraubState Street Corp. and Allmerica Financial Corp.
- Seeds of Change: Redleaf Group Inc., a technology operating company that provides capital to seed and pre-seed stage startups, announced that Mark Jensen has joined the company as CFO. Jensen is a former managing partner at Arthur Andersen (now known as Andersen). This is a new position for Saratoga, Calif.-based Redleaf.
- Auto-parts supplier Donnelly Corp. announced that it just picked up a new CFO. Kevin Brown joins the Holland, Mich.-based company from Ford Motor Co., where he held various financial positions.
- Is Burst.com Inc. about to implode? The provider of network software for the delivery of video and audio information, said it will cut 75 percent of its jobs, leaving it with five employees. Among those leaving is CFO John Lukrich, who will remain at San Francisco, Calif.-based Burst.com only as an advisor. Lukrich will be replaced by controller Jeff Wilson.
- Identix Inc., a maker of fingerprint verification products, just got its hands on a new CFO. Erik Prusch, former VP and CFO of finance and operations for the Gateway business division of Gateway Inc. will join the Sunnyvale, Calif.-based company. Prusch replaces president and CEO James Scullion, who has also served as the company’s CFO for several years.
- New York-based Exenet Technologies Inc., a provider of outsourced application hosting infrastructure and services, is beefing up its management infrastructure with the appointment of Robert Nawy as its new CFO. For the past three years, Nawy served as CFO of Maden Technologies, an information-technology and networking company based in Washington, D.C.
- InVision Technologies Inc., a detection technology company, perceived admirable qualities in Ross Mulholland, the company’s new SVP and CFO. Mulholland replaces Al Larrenaga, who is leaving the Newark, Calif.-based company to join a startup company in the San Francisco Bay Area. Prior to joining InVision, Mulholland CFO and VP of operations at TechPlanet.
- Boston-based Bonaire Software Solutions LLC, a financial applications development firm and solutions integrator, double-dog- dared Michael Sorabella to take on the CFO and COO roles. Sorabella joins Bonaire after serving as SVP at Fleet National Bank.
- Redwood City, Calif.-based software company Clarent Corp., a provider of Internet protocol telephony systems, called up Simon Wong to join as CFO. Wong replaces Richard Heaps, who will leave the company on April 30 to pursue other opportunities. He will continue to act as a consultant to the company until August 2002. Wong has held finance and operations positions with technology companies including Netcom On-Line Communications Services, Apple Computer Inc., Sun Microsystems Inc., and Hewlett-Packard Co.
