Freimark, former president and CEO of the recently sold supermarket operator Grand Union, will assume his role at OfficeMax immediately. In 2000, Rutherford received $407,692 in salary and $6,147 in restricted stock awards.
- A Good Parking Spot: Nashville-based car parking facilities operator Central Parking Corp., hired Hiram Cox as SVP and CFO. Cox is currently SVP and controller of Northwest Airlines Corp. Prior to joining the airline, he held the position of SVP and CFO of Yellow Corp.
- Great Move: Great American Financial Resources Inc., a Cincinnati-based insurance company, named Christopher Miliano CFO, replacing William Maney. Miliano has been with Great American since 1993 and was most recently VP, controller, and assistant treasurer. Maney will continue to be the company’s treasurer. In 2000, Maney received $235,500 in salary, $100,000 in bonus, and $23,356 in other compensation.
- Breaking From The Alliance: Alliance Semiconductor Corp., a Santa Clara, Calif.-based maker of memory logic products, announced David Eichler has resigned as CFO to pursue another opportunity. C.N. Reddy Alliance’s chairman, president, and CEO, will assume the added title of interim CFO.
- Cooling Off: TransPro Inc., a New Haven, Conn.-based heating and cooling systems company, named Richard Wisot CFO. Wisot was most recently CFO at electric vehicle company Ecoair. He will replace Timothy E. Coyne, who resigned. In 2000, Coyne received $175,000 in salary.
- Signed On The Dotted Line: SFBC International Inc., a contract research company in Miami, named Nick Tootle CFO. Tootle previously worked at public accountant firm Kaufman, Rossin & Co. for eight years.
- Center Stage: Molecular Staging Inc., a New Haven, Conn.- based life sciences company, named F. Scott Reding CFO. Most recently, Reding served as CFO of The Woodlands, Tex.-based Zonagen Inc.
- On The Move: Isovia Inc., a Boston-based provider of mobile business solutions and applications, announced the appointment of Peter Phelps as CFO. Phelps was formerly the CFO of GiantLoop Network, a provider of optical networking services.
- Mr. Freeze: CryoCor Inc., a development stage medical technology company in San Diego, named Peter C. Wulff VP of finance and CFO. Wulff joins CryoCor from Natural Alternatives International Inc. a maker of customized nutritional supplements. Randell Weaver will replace him as CFO of Natural Alternatives.
- Take It To The Bank: Spectrum EBP, a bank-owned payment system utility company, named Douglas N. Martin CFO. Prior to joining Atlanta-based firm, Martin served as SVP and CFO of CarrierPoint Inc., an E-commerce company.
- Starting Lineup: OutStart Inc., a Natick, Mass.-based provider of educational software, named Dan Kossmann CFO. Kossmann joins OutStart from Servicesoft, where he served as CFO.
