Roxio Inc., a Milipitas, Calif.-based maker of CD-burning software, promoted Elliot Carpenter to the top finance post. Carpenter was the company’s VP of finance and played a major role in Roxio’s spin-off from Adaptec Inc.

Celestry Design Technologies Inc. named Charles O. Thompson III CFO. Thompson joins the San Jose, Calif.-based provider of tools and services to the semiconductor industry from Roth Capital Partners, where he was a managing director.

Bethel, Conn.-based Memry Corp. promoted Robert P. Belcher SVP of finance and administration. Belcher will continue in his roles of CFO and corporate secretary of the company, which provides manufacturing services to the medical-device industry.
