CFOs on the Move: Week Ending Nov. 22

General Dynamics has promoted Jason Aiken to the top finance spot, effective Jan. 1. He will take over from L. Hugh Redd II, who is retiring. Aiken currently heads finance at Gulfstream Aerospace, a wholly owned subsidiary of General Dynamics.

Patrick McGuiness has resigned as finance chief of Tiffany & Co., effective Nov. 27. Chief operating officer James Fernandez will become interim CFO until a permanent replacement for McGuiness is found. Fernandez was CFO from 1989 until he was promoted to his current position in 2011, when he was replaced by McGuiness.

CFO Robert Davis will become CEO at Rent-A-Center on Feb. 1. He will succeed company co-founder Mark Speese, who is retiring from that post on Jan. 31 but will remain chairman of the board. Davis has led the finance function at the firm since 1999.

Design, engineering and manufacturing company Global Power Equipment Group has chosen Raymond Guba to head finance, taking over for David Willis. Guba joins the firm from FTS International, where he also was finance chief.

Western Digital has appointed Tim Leyden to lead the finance function. He will replace Wolfgang Nickl, who is resigning. Leyden, who had been CFO from 2007 to 2010 and chief operating officer from 2010 until 2012, most recently was president of Western Digital subsidiary Hitachi Global Storage Technologies.

Rajeev Bhalla has been named to the top finance spot at Circor International, effective Dec. 2. He takes over from Fred Burditt, who is retiring. Bhalla comes to the valve designer, manufacturer and marketer from Sikorsky Aircraft, where he was CFO and vice president, finance.

Engineering-services firm Mistras Group has selected Jonathan Wolk to lead the finance function. He formerly headed finance at American Woodmark.

GSE Holding has appointed Daniel Storey finance chief. He succeeds Michael Kirksey, who is resigning. Storey has been chief accounting officer and corporate controller at the plastics company since May.

Cliff Stebe has been promoted to the top finance spot at LMI Aerospace. He takes over from Lawrence Dickinson, who will become president of the company’s Valent Aerostructures subsidiary. Stebe has been corporate controller at LMI for the past three years.
