Finance chief Gretchen Haggerty, who joined U.S. Steel Corp. in 1976 and has been CFO since 2003, plans to retire this year. A search is under way for her successor.
Michael Huseby, who has headed finance at Barnes & Noble Inc. since March of last year, has been named president of the company and CEO of its Nook Media subsidiary. He will be replaced as CFO by corporate controller Allen Lindstrom.
Lantheus Medical Imaging Inc. has named John Golubieski to the top finance spot. He will be interim CFO through August 9, when he will take over from Jeffrey Young. Golubieski joins the company from Fougera Pharmaceuticals Inc., where he was also CFO.
Public-utility holding company The Laclede Group has selected Steven Rasche to lead the finance function, effective October 1. He succeeds Mark Waltermire, who is retiring on September 30. Rasche is now senior vice president of finance and accounting at the firm and also heads finance for subsidiary Laclede Gas Co.
Bren Higgins has been promoted to finance chief at KLA-Tencor Corp., effective the day after the company files its annual report for the fiscal year ended June 30. He replaces Mark Dentinger, who will stay on as a senior adviser at the firm until the end of 2013. Higgins has been at the company since 1999, most recently as vice president of corporate finance.
Medical-technology firm Becton, Dickinson and Co. has named Christopher Reidy to head finance. He takes over from acting CFO Suketu Upadyhyay, who will become senior vice president, finance. Previously, Reidy was finance chief at ADP Corp.
Tibco Software Inc. has promoted Matt Langdon to the top finance spot. He had been senior vice president, strategic operations.
Scott Beamer has joined chemical firm Stepan Co. and will become CFO on August 15 upon the retirement of James Hurlbutt. Beamer comes to the company from PPG Industries Inc., where he was assistant corporate controller.
Noel Samuel has been named finance chief of immixGroup Inc. Formerly, he headed finance at Spear Inc., which he also co-founded.
